I've got quiet a bit of rock/gravel mixed in some dirt in a good portion of the yard. Is there something that would till and sift or rake this gravel out. Atleast the top few inches?

There are two things that do this really well, but they are hard to find for small CUT's.

One is a "Harley Rake, and the other is a "Rock Hound" Check you local rental yards...

You could also build a screen, Pull up the top layer of soil, screen it and lay it back down...

Great! The Rockhound is my personal choice of the two-Although I have only used the Rockhound. I used one on a SSL to put the lawn it my new house after I built it-and it did a impressive job in my clay/shale soil. I like the way the Rockhound puts all the rocks and debris into the bucket rather then windrowing it off to the side like the way the Harley rake does.
