Our highest current Jd is a 445 with 1500 hours on it and heck that's a gas lawnmower! Im certain the big diesel tractors will go for 1000s of hours.

I run a 1997 4400 at work and its got 4600 hours on it, shuttle shift, with sync reverse. Engine seems to run strong still.. Shes leaks like the titanic.. and the loader needs pins, bushings, shims and a new tractor.

Just got me a 2009 4720 w/ ehydro trans with 1300 hrs on it. Still runs very strong and no smoke. Only real problem I can tell is that the loader (400cx self leverer) pins seem very sloppy or wore out. Is this normal for this loader?

Ok maybe that came off as a bit rude, I am just thinking that based on what I know I would be surprised if the 4000 hold up like the 5000, even with less ground engagement work...hopefully I am wrong cause I currently run a 4320...

My 4005 now has 297.0 hours on it ... still doing well, going strong!
I will have had it two (2) years come June; it's a wonderful work horse. I cut with a MX6; I plough with a 3-16 bottom plough; I pull a single shank subsoiler to the top of the mast; I till with a 673 Tiller. It has not failed to do as I ask of it.
