My local auction place that primarily does farm auctions has a 30x65 and a 20x30 tarp shelter listed. The bids are already getting pretty high. I tried googling them for more info but all I seem to find is them being sold at farm auctions, no retailers selling them. Pretty weird right? The 30x65 is up to $1000 already with a week to go. Picture below is an example of the auction one, if you google it there's plenty of pictures of identical kits in different sizes.

I do need some storage, tractors, equipment, hay, etc.. Would I better off just going with a open sided shed kit from Menards? They have tons of options but for example a 15x45x7H from them is $2600.

I'm not sure what brand my neighbor HAD. Just put it up last fall, tearing down the rest of it now. Collapsed sometime in January. What a mess. It looked similar to the one's pictured.

Note worthy I think; my neighbors was a big one, at least 45'X60'.

I love those Shelter Logic style shelters.

As long as you don't exceed the rated snow /wind load.

THis is my son's. I suffered some structural bending in very high winds then a week later got snow dumped on it.

The ones the OP showed are undoubtedly better.

Our neighbors put one up in their front yard two years ago. It lasted the first winter. It collapsed last week in 48mph winds. The rest of the neighbors are now wondering how long it will now stay collapsed in their front yard.

My shelter logic has been up for a total 4.5 years for the tractor. It is the SUV model. The one for my Jeep (6 years up) is smaller and getting re-purposed this year and a new SUV shelter going up in its' place. The SUV shelter is a rounded hip roof design kinda sorta.
I found the very best bet is NOT to use the mickey mouse anchors that come with them unless you dig down about a foot and cement them in place.

This one for the Jeep lasted 6 years but I went through to roofs ShelterLogic Canada Portable Garages and Shelters | Peak Shelter Series - Fabric Structure, Portable Garage

I am replacing it with this; ShelterLogic Canada Portable Garages and Shelters | Barn Shelter Series - Fabric Structure, Portable Garage which is what the tractor is in and has been ever since I bought it in 2012

I have never had the cover last more than 4 years. Frame last a lot longer except the HF one I bought when I needed one in a hurry. Shelter Logic has replacement covers, have done that a few times. I always bolt to a concrete slab or to RR ties embedded in gravel.

The biggest problem is that the sun's rays eventually kill the top. I have to replace mine every three or four years. And, of course, you must keep the snow off of it, or it will collapse from the weight. I buy a new one from Costco for $199 every once in a while, and all I use is the top. The tarp sides and the the superstructure are still good to go, and mine is a 10' x 20'. Too bad I can't just buy a top each time!

Contemplating one of these for a temporary paint booth. Costco $199 would be ideal but not one in our area. Several farmers have them up here. See them on the horizon but never notice them missing due to weather.
