When to change the rear tires?

I recently purchased a Case 570LXT for enlarging my pond and general dirt work around the property. I expect to get a lot of use from it over the next couple of years then re-consider the need for it and maybe get a smaller tractor after the big dirt work is done to my liking. Rear tires now are in good shape but with out a lot of tread left on them. They are not bald or anything (I keep meaning to get a pic of them to post). I figure if I use it hard for a couple of years, the tread would really be at the end of life and lesson the sales value. If I bought new tires now, I would have the best traction during the hardest work and still have good value in the tread left after a couple of years.

The tires I am considering are the Deestone 17.5L-24 R4 for 447.00 ea installed on my rims. These are 12 ply rated and the Titans that are on it are 10 ply rated.

I think it would be a good move to replace the tires. You get the benefit and it will help with the resale later.

I cannot speak to the Deestone tires as I have no experience with them. However my Titans are 13 years old now and still in great shape. Two extra ply won't hurt at all.

Yeah, I'd change them too, you'll get much better traction and recoup some of your investment by getting to use them and better resale on the end as the tires will still be in good shape.

I'm not familiar with that tire either, it's not available in my area the last time I checked.
