Backhoe Which BH, JD 448 or Woods BH90-X?

If you can try each of them out that would be a plus. Different hoes do feel...well, different. I've found the Woods hoes are a bit jumpy (I've got one myself and use one at work), but are really nice once you get used to them.

I do strongly recommend a subframe. Mine has one. The BH9000 at work does not. I've had the hoe at work come off the tractor at work when the top link pin broke (that was a bit scary). Must have been a defective pin - the thing just sheared off. Never expected a 3/4" metal rod to do that. Point being is that would not be possible with the subframe. Adds a lot of structural integrety.

also thought that I would add that yesterday I spent 8 hours running my woods hoe and man what a machine! I couldn't believe the power it had to pull some trees up out of the ground root and all with the bucket/thumb. Some were probably 20' tall and maybe 3-4 inches in diameter. I honestly can say that it exceeded my expectations. We dug up several trees that were 30' tall and fairly good size diameter. It would pick them up and swing them with the thumb no problem. Definitely is gonna be a great tool for me.

The new woods 80x and 90x have speed control as well, so you can set them where you like... I have the Woods 80x and it is an excellent hoe...
