Which brand would you sell?

Thats a really interesting chart. I was just in Germany about two months ago and saw virtualy nothing but Fendt, Case and Deere. I would have never guessed how low Fendt and Case are on that chart. At least 50% where Fendt machines.

Well Dave and Neil, your posts got me curious so I googled around on tractor numbers for awhile this morning. Finding an answer to who sold how many of what wasn't available that I could find, but I did notice one interesting fact from the boasts, claims, and assorted BS. Mahindra boasts having past 1 million units worldwide(the website's claim is that they are in the top 5 worldwide) and Kubota just sold its 1 millionth tractor(an MX 125 in the US).

If anyone can find real numbers on sales please post them.

Dave congrats on being recognized on Mahindra's US homepage. It sounds like you are doing a great job with them.

My apologies to the OP since this really doesn't have anything to do with anything.

It is so hard to get factual numbers. Everyone counts the way it makes them look best. I guess the point I was trying to get across, and I probably should have left out the numbers, is that Mahindra is a substantial tractor manufacturer. Putting numbers to it, without them coming from an independant source, just starts arguments it appears.

Thanks for the kind words. The Dealer of the Year award from Farm Equipment Magazine in their Rural Lifestyle Dealer Magazine has been good recognition for the Mahindra brand and for the Dave's Tractor brand also.

Neil, I think that chart was for UK sales not European sales

Heywood - haven't seen you around here before. Lots of local guys on the forum recently. We're going to have to get together some day and do a TBN bbq here in Southern Ontario.

I'm in Queensville - just east and north about 45 min from you. I come to Schomberg often as I have good friends there.

I think that a Kioti dealership would do incredibly well in that area - Nobleton, Schomberg and a bit north of there. Green Tractors seems to be the only local dealership of any brand there.

I am 15 minutes north of Bradford. I love it there. My favourite place to go is Trinity Equipment, MF dealer. And my second favourite is Tim's!!

I haven't checked out Trinity Equipment but have meant to. One of the girls that boards her horse at my place her brother is in sales there. I was impressed with the look of the MF I saw at the Canadian Farm Show the other day.

Anybody know if MF sells many of their Iseki rebranded compacts? I don't see much more than Kubota and JD around here in newer compacts. Lots of older MF, JD, Allis and so on.

I stumbled across TBN a little while ago. Can't remember how, I think it was mentioned on a COTH or EMG board somewhere. I can't get over the wealth of information, and entertainment that this forum provides. Glad I found it.
canoetrpr, we probably know some of the people you know. A TBN southern ontario barbeque - GREAT IDEA! We can get the steaks from Beeton Meats! (not a joke!)

I think so too. The closest Kioti dealer to me is Tractorland in Gormley which is not really all that far away. Trinity Equipment is the closest of any dealer, and I would always peruse their yard to see what nice MF iron is sitting out front whenever I have to fill up the diesel cans at Husky.

Green Tractors in Nobleton is where we ended our search for a new loader tractor and have dealt with them before when I bought the F620 Z-track. All good guys!
