Or in case of the Kukje engines in the 2021+ models, they use a electronically controlled exhaust valve that closes and opens as needed to increase the temp of the DPF instead of an additional injector dumping fuel.A DPF engine runs at a high rpm (usually around 2,000 for tractors) and once everything is at the correct temperature --- an additional injector mounted between the exhaust manifold and the DPF injects diesel directly into the exhaust system. This creates heat and pressure that cleans out the DPF.
What I like about these engines is that they do not use a common rail injection system. It is still a mechanical fuel injection set up.
DEF is an injection system incorporated into the exhaust to clean up particulates. it is of a urea based fluid and no, it does not come from cow urine.
Still an easy system to deal with if it happens to create issues.
