A while back I was looking at some pictures of a class II boomer with a Bush Hog BH and subframe that one of you Boomer owners posted on your own seperate web page. I'm sure I'm not going crazy, thought I'd completed that task a long time ago. Does anyone know where or who it is? I have searched and am tired of "searching" With no Luck! I would like to see them again and I did not save the url. Didn't think I'd be interested at a later time? So goes the drama of tractor fever.
Thanks,
Dan

I have a TC33D with a BH 762H with subframe on it. I never posted a picture though. If you have any questions ask away. I have used it to trench a well line, dig shrub holes for the wife in the hard clay/shale and dug out about 50 stumps ranging from 4 inch Pine to 30 inch Oak.

The backhoe takes about 10 minutes off and about 20 minutes to put on - not rushing. It is plumbed using a power beyond kit off the FEL stick and with some quick connects to deactivate the TPH so there are no accidents. The subframe and hoe seem heavily built. I have the 13 inch HD bucket.

The only damage ever done to it was self inflicted, I caught the bucket cylinder hose on a root I was digging under. I removed the hose and had a new fitting put on for $8.

The only thing I don't like about it is the hoe in old Ford blue and does not match the new NH brighter blue. I would have bought black if I had known.

Thanks,
What is the difference between the 762H and 765H? The local dealer has some 765H's. I would like to see the subframe bush hog makes. After talking to the dealer, I may make my own subframe. He said they don't order them in, they just make 'em. But then again, I may just order one. That's why I suddenly became interested in the pictures I saw a while back. I wish I'd saved the page the shots were on. Back then, I was looking at "BIGGER" all around, and didn't think.

At the time I bought, the 762 was the match for the tractor. Looking on the www.bushhog.com site, the 765 has the same basic specs as my 762. Hopefully, they fixed the color /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif!

I sure wouldn't want to make the sub-frame, it is heavy and precise. You remove two big pins in front, let the front of the frame down, then drive forward to unhook the back brackets from the rear axle brackets. Those rear hook brackets are about an inch thick steel. The whole subframe goes all the way forward to where the FEL mid brackets are. It is made of heavy channel steel boxed in all the stress areas.

I will try to take some (on tractor) pics tomorrow. I have to remove a few stumps tomorrow and then I will need to remove the hoe to do some box blade work. Will try to get you a pic of the subframe after I remove it.

Thanks Jay,
The pics would be great, even though you just made up my mind to order the subframe from Bush Hog!

Here is a pic of the tractor with FEL and hoe attached. TC33D, 7308, BH 762H, R4 tires.

This is a pic of the "drivers side". The black bar under the tiedown loop is part of the sub-frame.

This is a close-up picture of the "passenger side" front sub-frame attachment and is near the FEL bracket and hydraulic dist block.

Those bent plates and front cross-member are about 3/8" thick. The front down brackets are about 1/2" thick.

This pic is looking between the hoe and 3PH. The shiny bolts next to the drawbar are on the brackets holding the sub-frame to the axle. As I said previously, those thick brackets have hooks on them to engage the other brackets that are bolted to the axle. Make for easy on/off. Note that NO 3PH parts are used. Indeed on mine, the hydraulic power to the 3PH is deactivate to prevent using the 3PH while the hoe is attached.

This is a pic of the sub-frame attachment to the hoe. Note the end of the 3PH arm. If there were no sub-frame, the hoe would be about 6-8 inched closer to the back of the tractor. Again all pretty beefy steel 3/8" inch plus gusseting and bracing. I think you would agree, you probably couldn't make it easily or quickly. Much easier to buy one and get to work using the tractor!

Hope these help in you decision.
