Well as for myself, last year I took the training course and got my license, this year I got insurance for my 250cc. I barely had time to take a ride but I brought my 450 WR at work so i’ve been ripping that out probably made shy of 300km in 6 days in bush roads, I had to take one day off, I was getting pretty soar.
Went for a "Memorial Ride" today. Not far, about an hour and a half. Sticking to the less used back roads.
I reflected on my 1999 VFR800fi. 23 years old, I've had it all that while.
It fits like a well worn shoe.
No other bike really interests me.
Some of the old stuff (MotoGuzzi or Ducati) could catch my attention... for a while.
It's been a while since I have posted. Just wanted to say be careful on two wheels. I ran over a deer about 4 weeks ago on the goldwing. Broke my left ankle. 3 plates and 14 pins and screws.
Managed to not come off the bike. Planning on looking for a replacement bike next spring.
Last time I was out, saw a bear cub, running along an embankment. Silly thing made a sharp, right, towards me. I speed up enough to pass it before it crossed my rear tire, by inches. Would have hated to hit the little fellow. Cars, I can generally figure out what they will do. Critters, not so much. Don't ride at night anymore due to the deer.
