I try to wait until they sweep all the sand (pebbles) off the road. Still have to be careful turning at corners as they do a poor job.I used to wait for a couple of rain showers to get most of the salt off the roads.
Around here on the Town roads and even many of the County roads that wouldn't be untill the snow plows were running again. Plus the farm traffic that brings mud and manure out on the roads at times.I try to wait until they sweep all the sand (pebbles) off the road. We have the same situation with the caterpillars on their prime cycle when they cross the road and get squish it become slippery as ice… I have knobby tires so i am not sure how much it would affect me …Although i would still slow down
