I see very frequently the CK20 being considered a SubCUT. Why is that? I know people are new to this tractor thing and with so many flavors to choose from, it can be a daunting task. But I never see other brands considered as SubCUTs like Deere 4010, 4110, 4115, Case DX21 & 24, New Holland TC21 & 24, Mahindra 2015, Kubota B2410 & 7510, etc. These are all full-fledged CUTs. I am always a little miffed when I see CK20 considered as a SubCUT. SubCUTs and CUTs are two way different animals. Sorry for the rant. I guess I need to vent a little. Ok, I feel better now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know. Let's petition Kioti to come out with an actual SubCUT. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is JUST A WILD GUESS, but I would think that there are some Kioti dealers that are telling potential customers that the CK20, simply because it is the smallest deluxe tractor they make, compares to the Sub-CUTS when a potential customer walks in the door and says that they are looking for something like a Kubota BX or a NH TX or JD2210 or a CASE DXe or a Massey GC . . .

Setting any Sub-CUT next to any small frame CUT and the difference is very obvious. However, to a newbie, seeing a small frame CUT on one dealer lot one day, then going to another dealer lot a different day, or even just an hour later, and the size difference is not as apparent.

I don't think most of the Kioti dealers are actually being deceptive, I think it they are simply trying to fit a customer into a small tractor with deluxe features. But if they are refering to it as a Sub-CUT and saying it is in the same class as the BX type machines, then that would clearly be deceptive.

I never have considered the CK20 a SubCUT. When a customer wants to compare it to the BX Sub's I always tell them that the CK20 is a larger tractor and not in that class. I too hope that Kioti will produce something like a subCUT, as the CK20 is not.

My take:

1. These comparisons are made PRIOR to actually seeing the tractors at any of the dealerships.
2. These four manufacturers are the primary companies being used for comparisons.
Kioti, Kubota, John Deere, Hew Holland.
3. The initial offering of the "3" are all sub-compacts.
4. Kioti's initial offering, the CK20, happens not to be a sub-compact.
5. It's horsepower is "close" so it's perceived as sub-compact. Of course, horsepower is only one facet of the tractors overall capabilities.
6. I can't speculate what the various dealers are saying, because I don't know & IMO this happens prior to visiting the dealers and seeing the tractors up close and personal.

My .02 cents worth. Your mileage may vary.

I hope in the near future Kioti will make a Sub Cut like the BX23 or theGC2310 TLB. I'm sure that most of you will agree that if such product were to role off the assembly lines, Kioti would probably have difficulty keeping up with consumer demand... Everybody would want one /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif cag
