Wife says its got to go ...

So does anyone else have a "favorite" thing that you just don't want to part with? I have several but this one I don't want to part with ....

My pillow ... last night when we got ready for bed she sprung it on me ...

"Your old pillow has got to go" !!! I said "WHAT" and then she proceeded to tell me its about 20 years old and its wore out !! She even called it "Nasty"

I says "Nasty ?? Girl you put fresh pillow cases on it several times a week, how can that be nasty"

Its just right. It fits so well ... its broke in !!! I even had nightmares about breaking in the "new" pillow in. I mean its going to be too hard or too soft. I will have to pound it, punch it, beat it up and it will take months ... NO it will take me years to get it just right ... I can't wait to wake up with a stiff neck !!!

Do I submit or do I hold tight to my beloved pillow???

I feel your pain. When I was 5 I had a blanket my parents said had to go. Take it to your man cave, garage, or barn. You probably have to take the new one on the bed you share. Good luck:thumbsup:

I still have a blanket:confused2:, my parents also said it had to go, but I found others. I'm 51 and use to prop up my head and keep my neck warm in the winter. We have way too much stuff in this house and in storage, can't seem to sell, give or throw away. We don't ask each other any more.

Hey don't mess with my pillow, lol. I have a bad neck and depending on the night I will interchange one or two, sometimes thicker sometimes thinner, if it is working I wouldn't mess with it. My wife thinks I am bats. Sounds like she has a pillow challenge offer to change your own pillow case, lol.

Old pillows are a breeding ground for dust mites and bacteria, doo some quick research and happy pillow shopping.

Funny....my wife said we had to get new pillows just the other day and I protested...I told her there is nothing wrong with my pillow....I have to have my pillow...She shook her head and said we have had them far too long...So what makes a pillow bad...? I still have my head and that is all that ever goes on my pillow...I am not going to get a new head ..right...She just looked at me...I don't know what she will do but I may lose my pillow...I hope not. I don't want a spongy pillow or some hard pillow...I like my pillow a lot.

Go to Bed Bath & Beyond and buy one of those "Pillow cover" things that zip at the end. It will look like a brand new pillow...

I recently bought some new pillows and they are very soft, as Bill knows (I'll let you think about that one :laughing

I'm going to keep using them for another week or so and see if I get used to them, if not, I'll go back to my 30 year old hard pillow.

My main problem with them is that I am an avid reader, and spend about 1-1:30 hours reading every night, and since these pillows are soft, I can't really get my head comfortably upright to read.
