Thank y'all for being so kind. No children all kin folk are
in Wisconsin. All my kin folk are gone and my dad got
divorced when I was 4 or 5 and we never went to see my
relation just my step mothers. Last 2 years of high school
worked at a supple club 8 hours every night after school
leaning pots & pans & what ever they wanted me to do
pay was good $75 per week every other week end off.
After high school joined the navy for 11 years last tour
of duty was on the USS Little Rock CLG4 1941 model
was very top heavy stationed Gaeta, Italy for 3 years
and 4 months got out as next duty station was a ammunition
oiler and didn't believe I could take the smell of fuel. Glad
I got out heard some bad stories about guys that were on
a ammo oiler. Now have been taking all her stuff to Good
Will. I got her a Pfaff sewing machine when we were in
Italy after using it for over 30 years took it in for cleaning
repair guy said it looks just like a new machine no wear.
and she also had a serger she made me some coveralls
she made a lot of her clothes in Italy as material was very
cheap. Now have all kinds of material, accessories for the
Pfaff, lots of different color thread, needles. She didn't use
the Pfaff for the past 5 years so will take it in to get is serviced.
I called in a repair guy in Italy he oiled and made adjustments
and the price was 1000 lira = $1.60 price here in states $54.96
I am going to attempt to make me some more cover alls. I
used to patch my pants when I get a tear when she was at
work and I had the day off.. I helped my wife out by cooking,
doing the dishes, take her shopping. I had a desk job and she
worked in a factory making lightening arrestors. I put one of
the arrestors in our electric panel and we never lost anything
but out neighbors lost their TV, stereo and some other stuff.

Thank y'all for you kind words. Trying to stay busy
takes my mind off of her. If I can find the pattern will
show some pictures of results. She saved books on
quilting, anything to do with yarn and thread.

Willy, i am so sorry to hear of your huge loss. Its heart breaking. 56yrs is quite an accomplishment.
My wife an i, 50+yrs together, lately we`ve been having that talk, the talk that nobody is ever prepared for.

This forum has a huge amount of great people, all caring about each other. Please keep us all up to date on how you are doing my friend.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. If you care about someone, let them know that you care. Any one of us could be gone in a minute.
