I’m 19hp at the PTO and it refused at a 4.5” log. Engine bogged down and when it tried to rev back up the shear pin broke. To be honest I was at the end of my first test and had saved that log to see what it would do. You have more power than me but 6” might be a stretch. That’s the maximum the chipper is designed to handle. The feed wheel opening is 6” wide. My goal was to handle 75% of the giant pile and knew I couldn’t chip it all. I didn’t want to be limited by the chipper.

As far as hp goes, you'd do fine with the WC68. The 2025R kind of loafs along on the WC46 at only about 2600-2700 rpm vs. 3000 for "540". Just don't need the hp.

Thing I notice the most is that weight out the back. This is on the WC46. The WC68 is 710# vs. 510# for the WC46. You'd have to be extremely careful on slopes, which is where I operate the WC46 on a lot.

Think you'd need a Kubota L or 3 series JD with their bigger weight to handle the WC68 if you go at all on slopes.

My Kioti LK30 at 2900 lb (4000 lb with the loader) is in the same ballpark (weight wise) as a John Deer 3046R tractor. I think I'll go with that model, thanks.

Was a beautiful day to get out and make some chips while the ground is still frozen. The WC88 performance was great and it had no problem chipping up to 5” of pin cherry without any issues. The 5” was more of a test as I normally will save anything 3”+ for stove wood.

What size of chips are you getting? Are they a consistent size?
How about a close up picture of the chips with a tape measure?

If you open up the last picture of the post prior to yours, it's of pretty large resolution. It can give you an idea of what the consistency of the chips looks like
