I've had the WC88 about 12 months now. (I called it a WC86 in a previous post :confused2: )

After less than 50 hours use, the four belts started disintegrating (shedding their "cogs"). It looked to me that the drive belt tensioner roller was too small in diameter, causing the belts to do quite a sharp change in direction as they rounded the roller. A response from the drive belts technical department confirmed that in their opinion, the radius of backward bend was too small, and could well contribute to reduced service life of the belts. For their BX53 belts - "we recommend a minimum of a 6" backside idler".

I mentioned this to the dealer/importer/agent, and he said he thought WM had done some sort of a mod in "that area", and he would send me a "mod" when he got them. That was months ago.

Do any of you guys know anything about this?

Here is a shot of mine and it is brand new, not sure if it is any different than yours.

Thanks Erik. I can't see from your photo, but I wonder whether new ones, like yours, have a bigger diameter roller? Here's mine:
