Woods backhoe for L3400

Does any one have a Woods backhoe on their L3400? I've got an order in for the 3400 and despite the cost, I've convinced myself that a backhoe would be an invaluable add-on. Retaining wall and garage footers, digging tree stumps, ditch maintenance on 1+ mile gravel driveway etc. My dealer, which came in $1500 under Barlow, has a Woods backhoe in stock and said it was as good as the Kubota model as well as being cheaper.
Anyone have any comments? Also, what do you use yours for? Might help in selling the wife if I have more things to use it for

Woods backhoes are pretty well regarded. I don't think you'll have any issues.

Are both with a subframe??? (do they even sell them without?)

I don't have a 3400, but I have a Woods BH80X on my B3030 and so far, I'm plenty satisfied. I've seen minimal complaints on the Woods hoes.

I have a Woods BH80X on my L3400 and I am very happy with it. Mine has the PTO pump. Make sure it has the subframe.

Yes, both are sub frame mounted. I haven't gotten a firm price yet...any ideas what would be a fair/good price? I saw one online for $4700..."it may be partially disassembled and all fluids are removed for shipping." is what they say on their site. Is that standard practice or should I just stick with the local dealer?

Stick with your local dealer. Service after the sale is very important. You never know what you are getting when you purchase online. Sounds fishing to me.
