Good Mornin Guys,
Im trying to catch up on projects that need to be done around here and the woodstove is on the list ! I have a number of cracked bricks in the stove, so I went and bought a dozen, which is the amount that I have in this stove.

In my opinion, I feel that I only need to replace the ones that are cracked. Or do some of you guys feel that I should just replace them all and be done with it ?

They are cheap enough, so its not show stopper either way ! ;)

Scotty if it was me I would replace all of them seeing you have already purchased them? Keep the ones that are not broken and store them for replacement bricks down the road

depends on how the the bricks are retained.

if there is some retainer that retains all of one side or something that you hae to remove to remove just one, then ya i would replace all of them at that time.

but if you can easly just pop out one or 2 i would go that route.

I would only replace the broken ones, keep the nice clean spares for later use.

Scott, keeping used firebricks for later is like keeping a bald tire as a spare. Run the cracked ones 'till they won't do their job, or won't stay in place, then throw them away. If you're just concerned about the cracks, butter the pieces with furnace cement & put them back in place. MikeD74T
