Does anyone have any experience with the Worksaver Post hole digger? I saw one for sale in the local paper and was going to check into it but thought I would do a little research first.
i have the model 500 worksaver posthole digger, it will do a great job for you. mine has done well with the rocky heavy clay soil we have here, i have planted about 400 trees, rose bushes, and shrubs with it. i use a 12" auger on mine and it has worked well. i have had to replace the auger teeth once. the people at worksaver sent me the parts quickly after a phone call. i am satisifiied with the digger.
I purchased a model 300 with my BX 23 this spring. I used it for the first time a few days ago, and was very pleased. I was able to punch 25 holes in under 2 hours (including breaks and dismounting frequently to check the quality of the holes). I'm impressed with the construction (heavy). My soil is easy to dig in, 6" topsoil then sand and gravel, some round rocks as large as 12", but lots of roots.
