WSM Manual

not legally.

Kubota is really dropping the the ball in this area. In this day and age you should be able to buy a paper or electronic copy. I bought the paper copies of the manuals for my tractor and I could scan the manuals to PDF but I should not have to.
I am not trying to cut Kubota out here just complaining about the format. I like PDF copies and print off what I need.

I second this.....the best part of a PDF, as you state, is you can print off the page(s) you need and actually have them right there with you as you do the work...doesn't matter if you get them greasy, oily, or rip them....you can always just print another perfectly clean copy if need be.

Manuals are great ... so why do they charge for them? I emailed my dealer with a wiring question and asked for a wiring diagram ... few days later on CD the entire Manual from top to bottom.

I am sure its a control issue. PDF's are too easy to distrubute. None of our vendors provide PDF's of service manuals to customers. We do have them for ourselves from many companies, but they are wrapped in about 18 layers of security so they can't be passed around. In the end, everyone prefers the paper copies to messing with the secured PDF's.

I find it abit strange the hole VSM part. If you buy a new tractor you pay around 10000+++$ (and up) why not get a free copy with it? And Kubota should have the VSM and partcatalog on their website free for download. I belive thats is a very cheap way to create even more happy customers. 81$ for a VSM when paid over 30000$, I think thats a joke:confused2:

Can't remember how much mine was think around $60 cdn. Got mine in Abbotsford BC quite reasonable for the size of the book. Was cheaper than photo copying somebody else s

Why would Kubota want you to be able to fix problems with your equipment? Either buy the WSM (copyrighted like all printed material and software) or pay the dealer is their view. Supporting their dealers in my opinion.:2cents:
Jim

PS Got my WSM from Messick @ about $70.

No disrespect but anybody that would steal a copyrighted PDF can easily scan any paper document into PDF very easy. I bought the paper copy and I would buy the PDF copy. Its just a case of Kubota not keeping up with what the customer wants.

Are the workshop manuals still available for some of the "newer" model tractors?

I've been searching around trying to find the WSM for my newly purchased B3200 and BH77 hoe - and I can't find any evidence that they are available.

Messicks doesn't have them listed in their manuals section.
