I have a 2017 XR4155 hydro trans with cab and 517 hours, located in Wisconsin.
My Scenario: Tractor ran fine when parked but when I tried to start it up back in early February it would only idle at low rpm for ~30 seconds and eventually died, like it was starving for fuel. No codes or warning lights. The tractor is usually parked in my heated shop but was parked outside through some cold weather, and may have still had summer blend diesel in it because of the lack of snow this year… Assuming it was a fuel gelling issue I added diesel 911 to the tank and a 50/50 mix into a new filter and tried starting several more times with the same results.
After a couple more attempts to start I managed to get my first DTC code - F02 636. I did some internet research which seemed to point to a somewhat common crank sensor problem. I bought a new crank sensor, installed, and still had the same issues… I pulled the dash apart to use the OBD2 port and found a stored P0372 code which seemed to also tie back to the crank sensor. I cleared that and now I’m not getting any fault codes, so I think that may have been a false code tripped by the engine dying.
I’ve read through a variety of posts and tried a number of fixes without finding a solution yet.
Getting close to calling the dealer, but I figured I would post here first to see if there’s something I’m missing.
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!

- Battery is good, 1 year old and charged
- Verified air filter is clear of any obstructions
- Tried running without the fuel tank cap on
- Verified fuel flow coming out of the tank
- Blew out the hose from the tank to the fuel filter head
- Bled the fuel filter head multiple times
