I'm replacing the "pan" seat on my wife's 1510D. The new seat (from Hoye) will fit better after I finish a little work on the seat post. A picture is attached.

Can anyone tell me what was attached to the base where the arrow is pointing? I have removed the two 6 mm x 1.00 hex screws that were there and replaced them with ss machine screws.

There were fiber washers (one each) under the screw heads as if the screws were there to attach something that needed insulation.

TIA

The tool box? On the diagram in the Yanmar parts book it looks like the box is behind the seat.

Ok - I took a closer look at the parts diagram. It seems to show the tool box fitting in that space. What holds the box in? Some sort of a strap or clamp? Or does the box just sit there?

Well that'd keep it in place, though it seems a little like over-kill!

(I get most of my 'stuff from Hoye)

Thanks!
