Any limit on wishes? Like the weather, my wish list is subject to change.

285 Massey w/cab, Multipower (18.4X30 rears) w/new aftermarket loader.
4000SU Ford, diesel, S.O.S. tranny, late model. (3-cyl) (16.9X28 rears.) Great "hayin' tractor"!
Deere 6030. Just so I'd have the biggest, loudest tractor on the block! (30.?X32 rears)
International Harvester 1066 or 1466 open station. (20.8X38 rears) (Best looking tractor EVER from anyone)
Deere 4020 Powershift, diesel, early model (18.4X34 rears) Just so I could own the tractor that took us into the modern era of farm power.

JD 60 (mid 50's)- have full cultivator front/rear
JD 3020 PS - have full cultivator front/rear
Farmall Super A- have full cultivator front/rear and fert. attatchment

Most of the above are still being used....


What I'd like.....

1-JD3020 standard or orchard model (4020 if possible)
2-JD 2855N 4x4
3-Ford 3000 w/ Select-O-Speed tranny (or 4000 3 cylinder)
4-Chisylem Ryder 800 (grape harvester)

I was at an auction 2 summers past, where a Deere 2855N sold. There are a few wineries in the area, so I guess it came from one of them. It was in pristine condition, l ooking almost new.

....And NO ONE wanted to bid on it. I dropped out at $3300. It sold for $4100. Probably 1/4 or less of actual value. Everyone kept making wisecracks about the offset draft arms on the 3-point hitch.

Both of these tractors I spent a lot of time on as a kid and my schoolwork suffered because if I wasn't driving one, I was daydreaming about it! The 1206 was a hoot to drive and the 4520 just felt like it was carved out of a solid block of steel. Solid, dependable, the best driving tractor I've ever spent any time on.

These tractors remind me of my two all-time favorite things to do (besides duck hunting) was cutting silage (either cutting or pulling a full trailer up the open pit when my Dad wasn't looking. The 1206 would put on the best show! ) or disking corn stalks on the JD on a cool fall day. Watching the geese fly, listening to the tractor, smelling diesel fumes and the tart smelling cool air of fall... Daydreaming again... Sorry... I digress...

or to get back my grandfather's John Deere Orchard Model "A" that a slick JD salesman talked him into trading even for a 750 John Deere. Grrrrrr....

1...Still a fordson Doe triple D
2...JD 6030 , I'm no jd fan but i know what these things are going to be worth export to the UK.
2a..And for the same reason any lanz bulldog or field marshall or tracked fowler .
3...And still a nice ford 7000.

And any-thing fordson major ,I have 3 runners and a personal graveyard of carcasses ,Quite a hobby of mine ,V8's ,6 cyls ......Backyard tractor puller ?

And maybe a IH 2+2 ,Or as my 6 year old son calls them ....." A SNOOTER "
