Price Check ZD21 used price

I have found a used '02 ZD21 mower with approx. 180 hrs on it for $5750.00. Is this in line for used or should I write a check for it tomorrow? It seems to be in good shape except for couple of dings in hood.

I would take a look on ebay, autorv.com, and traderonline.com..... compare.....
I have a ZD21 and LOVE IT. My goal is to keep it until I am 50. I am 29 now. It is a 2002 also. I paid $9200 in 2002. If your reseach on other machines prices and evaluation of the machine say buy it... Then buy it! That is if you need a mower. If you haven't used a zero turn. I have a used Grasshopper 721 i'm selling for $4500. great shape, 52" flip deck, water cooled Kubota gas engine. For home use they last forever. don't know how that compares with what your buying.

I would say the price is very good for a ZD21 with such low hours. I bought mine in Spring 2004 for $9400. I now have about 176 hours with no problems at all. I used to have a Great Dane (John Deere product) that I bought new and all it ever did was give problems. Took at least four weeks for parts under warranty.
I would buy a Kubota again and never think twice about it. The Kubota has a shaft for the deck and drive system. Most zero turns have a belt somewhere in the drive system. I recommend shaft drive systems after using belt systems. I do not think you will go wrong with a Kubota ZD21, 25 or 28 mower. Keep us informed on your decision. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well guys; I screwed up! I waited too long. Called the guy back to let him know that I was coming to get it and guess what!!?? He sold it about an hour before I called him. Guess I will have to search some more and thanks for all of the responces to my thread.

I would have to agree with you. I have looked at just about every ZTR made and I am sold on the ZD's or ZG's. They seem to have been engineered and built to last. I would rather have a ZD just for the engine but I would have to sell the bass boat to afford a new one /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif See my previous post; early bird gets the worm!

Keep looking, maybe you will find another sweet deal. There will always be someone, somewhere wanting to sell a ZD or ZG. I will keep mine for a few years though! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Its a well made and nicely designed machine. Good luck in your search.

That's a fantastic price. I paid $9500 last year for a 2004 with -0- hrs on the clock. It sure makes mowing the lawn fun.
