How long have you been a member of TractorByNet.com?
About 4-5 months. It came recommended to me by a member who is also a member of another forum I frequent.

What do you like best about TractorByNet.com?
Sharing experiences with others, both theirs and mine.

What type of tractor do you own?
I own a John Deere 5055E.

How long have you owned or operated tractors?
I started operating lawn and garden tractors when I was 8 or 9. I was on the Massey 1045 when I was 11, although my mother didn’t like it.

What do you enjoy most about tractors?
Using them, though some might say it was playing with them. Mostly I enjoy being outdoors.

How often do you use your tractor?
It depends—sometimes 8 hours a day for a week then not more than an hour or two for a month. It does get used more during the summer than the winter.

Tell us about your property:
Right now I live on 7000 sq. ft. in town, however the tractor gets used on the 86 acre property I hunt and my uncle’s 200 farm. I’m also trying to buy 19 acres outside of town.

Do you have any pets?
My dog Huck is almost 6 yr. old Lab/Rott. mix. Best hunting dog I have ever seen. He is currently recovering from knee surgery. I really missed him this season.

What sort of tools, attachments or equipment do you use with your tractor on a regular basis?
SSQA front end loader with a 6.5 ft bucket, 6 ft grapple and pallet forks. 7 ft blade, box blade, rake, 6 ft Bushhog, Woods RM90.

What do you mainly use your tractor for?
Cutting 20 acres of fields, firewood, land clearing, anything that needs a FEL.

What do you like/dislike about the area you live in?
Love the water, love/hate (depends on the day) how flat it is, dislike how crowded it is becoming.

What sort of terrain is common in your area?
Lots of flat farm land, lots of woods, lots of wetlands, and more shoreline than any other county in the states.

What sort of trees and vegetation are common in your area?
Hardwood (oak, beech, maple, etc) and softwood (loblooly and white pine) forest, wetlands (cat tails, phragmites).

What’s something most TractorByNet members don’t know about you?
The girlfriend and I take a trip somewhere every year to go hike & camp for a week. We have done Zion and Bryce’s Canyon in UT, Glacier in MT, Baxter St. Park in ME, and this year we are headed to the Canadian Rockies.

What are some of your other hobbies?
Hunting, sailing, backpacking, camping, hiking—anything outdoors.
