It's the TG-48 model, 48" width, all gear drive (no chain).

I had it dropped shipped to my place, it arrived late yesterday afternoon.
The little FEL on the BX2350 was able to handle it off the back of the semi-trailer. (Notice grapple is removed for this situation).
It is a heavy duty unit, no doubt.

It's BIG and BEEFY! no sheet metal on this thing, it's all plate steel, square tube and angle steel. This unit impresses me by it's perceived sturdiness.

Weight: The shipping paperwork lists the crated weight at 580#
SO I'm gonna guess the uncrated unit, itself, is around 550#.
We've heard rumors up to 660# and worries of too heavy for smaller machines, so, I wanted to get this out for anyone who may be hesitating due to a weight issue.

Did I mention this is a Big and Beefy unit? ;)

Now it's time to uncrate this beast and do the set-up.

Quote from my wife upon seeing it:
"That is one ugly spud!" :D

I’ve been happy with my KK tiller. Make sure you add gear oil. KK normally does not ship with oil in the tiller.

Thanks, I am picking up the 85w-140 today during my lunch break.
The manual even tells approx. how much gear oil for both gearboxes, which is nice. It's typical for any gear box, fill to half-full.

I hope to get all set-up by this eve.

I think I just put in about 3.5 quarts or what ever the small bottles are. I love mine I already have battle wounds on mine from hitting some huge rocks I'll have to take some pics of that too. It put some dents on the top and chipped the paint.

there is an icon, looks like a little sqaure picture frame, click on that, then paste in your URL. But, for really large pictures, or numerous pictures it can cause the thread to load slowly, especially for thos not on a hi-speed connection.

Otherwise, nice pic, the KK looks like it matches your machine's size very well.

The instructions say 40 oz. in Main gearbox (fill 1/2 way) and 60 oz. in side gearbox. The side gearbox has a plug halfway up, so, like usual, I'll just fill til it oozes out the side plug. The Main gearbox doesn't have a side plug, I wonder why? My Rotary Cutter's gearbox has one, it's always the way I fill it.

Skunk,
That is good looking.
I've had my eye on tillers and even thought about making my own. But it'll have to wait for that day. I'm envious and the Mrs. is too. She would love to have one right about now.

Hmmmmm......... he says to himself as he envisions the tiller 3RRL builds for himself. Hydraulic parking stand..... check. Hydraulic on-the-fly depth control ........ check. Multi-speed gearbox....... check. Hydraulic offset control....... check.

Can't wait for that thread !

Very nice KK tiller, by the way. Exactly the tiller i have been dreaming about !

This thing ROCKS!

Got it set-up. With the Quick Hitch, the PTO length was fine.
Without it, I would have definately been cutting the PTO.

Tilled a couple of test paths, sorry no pics of that yet.
This was on virgin soil, some rocks, set about half-way = 4"
Piece of Cake! Left a fine seedbed behind.

Pushed my compost pile out flat, with the FEL, and tilled over it, very nice effect, the chunks and clods turned into black gold.

I think this Tiller is a keeper.

So far, despite what they may say, I think the KK TG-48 tiller is a perfect match for the BX2350. The 2350 powered it like a champ. In Low range 4wd there wasn't any jumping, bucking or pushing that i felt. i have the FEL, so anyone without the FEL would probably want to load up on front weights, I think the FEL helps balance the set-up.

Tomorrow it's time to churn some dirt!!
