Better be careful with that logic, if your wife is like my wife, you just might hear "If you got rid of the tractor, you would not really need that implement after all" /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

I have to agree with TonyC, get the forks. You will be pleasantly surprised how much you use them and wonder how you got along with out them. You can survive without top and tilt, its just an inconvenience.

I don't have tilt but I do have a hydraulic toplink.
My hydraulic toplink is nice but my forks are Unbelievable

I vote forks!

Keep the opinions coming. And thanks for the replies so far. I'm really torn, especially since I haven't had a tractor larger than my LX279, yet.

I'll use the forks more immediately, but what about creating berms for flower beds, flagpole, maintaining the yet-to-be created 310' drive, etc.?

If I get forks, they will be JD and not as heavy as those weilded by Spence...

More help, please. Sounds like everybody else is as split as I am on this one. Love the posts that express the same ambivalence I feel. Geeez, thanks...

Interesting posts, but the bottom line which only you can answer ----- What are you going to be using your tractor for - most of the time?

I don't have the TNT but at times, have often wished I had 'it'. I have the forks, and wish I hadn't taken so long to get them, as I have found many uses for them that I had never thought about. My drive is established, so the need for TNT for that use is less. But I plan to soon get a box blade (Frontier 60") and expect I will be wishin' for the TNT.

Solve your dilemna and get both, and make the rest of us jealous.

Great idea, beenthere, but I'm stretching as it is. I can't believe I'm spending as much as I am, although it is a very good deal.

You know, considering the amazing amount of info I've acquired on TBN, I think we all have a shared delusional disorder!

My last call to the dealer is tomorrow; I'll see what kind of deal I'll get on both or either.

Get tip/tilt. I use mine ALL the time. It was a pain getting off the tracto with the manual adjusters. I was really suprised at how often I use it.

I guess I'll chime in now. I put top-n-tilt on mine and now I wouldn't want to go without it. I find it extremely useful when I am using the boxblade or the back blade. I also found with the top link, I can increase the range of lift with my boompole, making it much more versitile. I am currently building a set of forks for my FEL, my father in law had a set he got from work, I just have to weld up a frame and mount for them. I can't foresee them being as useful to me as the top-n-tilt though.

I guess the bottom line is decide what you will use more and go with that. While we all have our different opinions as to what is more useful to us, you will be the one using your tractor, so go with what will work for you.

Get the TNT with the machine then add the forks later as mentioned. You can also add the removable forks for about $300 range that fix onto the FEL bucket. Seems these are good for mixed use. Also might want to have a tooth bar bucket while at it.

We just love to spend opm.. (other peoples money)
