Spreader Fertilizer Spreader BX 2200???

I like TSC a lot. Unfortunately the spreader you show in the link to their web page was not there when buying mine. I ended up with the Herdseeder because it was the only small one out there. I even went to the TSC store here and the only thing they knew of was what was out on the show room. They were these real big honking things that all ran over $600.00. Anyway the one you have looks pretty nice.

But I do like my Herdseeder

Do you think the First Choice P-180, 560 lbs capacity,spreader will work? I see Carver is running a sale for $280.

Can't really say as I can't find it on their web page. They did have one there for $225.00 It was a GSM350 and the picture looked like it was ok.

That sounds huge! I just got a landpride FS500 (350#), and it is as big (37" X 40") as I'd want to put on my TC18 (one size bigger than the BX). The landpride FS700 (563#) is 44" x 46"

That lnndpride does look awfully big on that tractor. My herdseeder worked just great on my TC21D and also my TC29D. I could have gone bigger with the 29 but didn't need to. It held about two bags of fertilizer.

I was interested in the herd as well. It was more money locally than the landpride. Also, wasn't recommended for spreading salt and/or sand in the winter.

I haven't tried it out yet as fertilizing is a ways off & last weekend's rain storm took care of all the ice on my driveway.

The Landpride spreaders are made by COSMO in Italy.
The GSM-350 is the same size as the LP- FS700. This is likely the largest spreader that fits on a compact tractor Cat 1 hitch.
Cosmo uses the # 180,350,500 and this stands for the hopper capacity measured in liters.

I am not familiar with them nor ever have seen one. But when you look at the picture of it installed on a tractor, it looks awfully large? That is my vision of it and may be totally wrong. My concern was one person moving it around and storing. Lifting up to the 3 point.

My herd looks a lot lighter and is ok for moving around but not easy with one person if you have to move it too far.

The GSM-350 is designed so you will not have to lift it up to attach it to your 3 pt hitch. Most all spreaders now have this design. First of all you are talking only 140 LBS it is very easy to move.
