I am confused, - on the website in one place it says the RG R72 has 1/2 inch tines and on another site it says they are 3/8 inch tines. Looks like,if they are 1/2 tines you are better off to get the 72" than the 60" which has 3/8 tines- please clarify for me and everyone else. For $200 more you get a larger grapple with 1/2 tines if i read all this right.

Hi Bruce, The 72 Rake has 1/2" tines and the 60 Rake has 3/8" tines.

You are correct, for $200 more you get a wider grapple with 1/8" thicker tines.

Good morning everyone,

We have listened to you and we have made some changes to our policies and procedures to better serve you our customers. Click this link to see our policies: Store Policy

We are phasing out the T-1 in our rakes and will be using grade 80 steel with gusseted lower teeth. The new models will perform better and last longer.

In 2013 we will be adding more top name brand attachments to our lineup as well as more value packed Titan brand items. See the John Deere Style line here: John Deere style Attachments | palletforks.com

Happy Holidays to all!

I am glad you guys are started to make them with the John Deere style quick attatch,I will probly be purchasing the 48" grapple and forks for my 4200 next year. I live in Northeast Arkansas. Will you still be able to pick these items up at Memphis?

I don't know much about metals, but I purchased a set of the light weight 48" grapples from Pallet Forks.com, and am well pleased.
They shipped it in a steel crate. some pieces of the crate appeared to be scrap from tooth cutouts. I'll say this, I went through a couple cutoff wheels trying to cut the stuff! Ended up just grinding the welds! So whether it's T-1 or not, I don't know, but it is hard steel.

I acquired one of your 72" rake grapples recently and it has gusseted lower teeth. Does this mean it is grade 80?

I recently purchased a Wildkat 48" and it is all I need. I suppose I could use a larger but lighter weight style but 48" is all I need with'a 60 HP tractor. Works great and very happy. Any questions about it, let me know.

It is just amazing how steel thickness and type can change at a moments notice ( ads also ). Most honest mistakes are guesses. Manufacturing facilities are invoiced for steel and pay exactly for their order specifications. Buying a product over the internet is hard because you don't get to touch, feel, and observe qualities your looking for. Designs change quickly as do prices. This is the reason I built my own loader and a grapple will follow. I can control the design, materials, and cost. My warranty program is in house. A smooth coat of paint is no guarantee of quality. Either is non greasable control points. For those who purchase sight unseen .... do your homework and hope for the best. Shipping charges are expensive and serve no one good purpose except the truck owner.
One great point is I am impressed the number of manufacturing companies popping up. ( Maybe I won't have to buy John Deere Chinese attachments anymore ) The more companies....... the more build quality ideas available to the public not to mention American jobs. This is a great site not only for the information but quality involved people in activities we all share.

I have the 72" rake that is T1 steel and for my use I have no real complaints. It is strong, functions well and Titanskidsteer has improved their quality considerably in the last few years. Very good price too.
