I don't understand how this got bent in the first place. Were you using the open tines to push? I'm not sure if this is necessarily a manufacturing problem. It could be, but from the photos, it's not really clear what happened.

The hydraulic cylinders themselves pressed against the grapple covers and bent them. Not a user issue. As noted it is a simple design error related to either wrong mount or wrong size cylinder.

Design flaw ... MG the rough crowd on this thread will probably not understand that.

I'll Bite!

I don't understand it. Well...I interpret that like this;

The product was not tested properly after a cheaper part was put on it
so an increase in profits could be enjoyed by shareholders. and/or It
costs too much money to throughly test these things so were going to
just go w/ it and hope for the best.

 THAT IS WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS.

The smaller the business the EASIER it is to know what is going on, IMO.
I own a small business, I have had a few issues since 1985. My policy is,
and always will be THAT issue gets served before ANYONE ELSE.

...and it has served me well. When I say a few, I mean just that.

Cable a drain and the next day it clogged again, BUT I proved the line was
over 50 years old and it needed replacement and they were not using enough water w/ the disposal. Gratis cabled again. Customer Satisfied.
The line was severered and made anew since then, on clients dime.

I used to push just Kohler, they changed flush systems, the first one
installed failed, pulled it and replaced it, customer satisfied. No more
Kohler.

Tubular waste leak the day after install, client slammed it w/ a gallon of windex. Fixed it gratis, advised against storing heavies under KS, customer
satisfied.

I have a couple of bucks built into every call for any issues that may
arise. That is standard business management as I know it.

The point is, if there is a problem it HAS to be addressed IMEDIATLY,
or the client will tell the world! BELIEVE IT! The internet makes the
world very small.

(ps, this is a forum, just because I disagree w/ a man does not mean we
have to be instant enemies... )

If I am not mistaken, SSE may not be the actual manufacturer just a reseller.

You are right if they put on a cheaper part and did not test but more likely they just changed suppliers or made some change they thought was minor not recognizing the change in geometry. True they could have tested and I'm sure at this point they wish they had. Key point now is how they follow through.

Remember when Kioti discovered (largely through TBN feedback) the loader cracking issue on KL120 and KL130 loaders, it took them about two months or more to acknowledge the problem and about EIGHTEEN months or more to come up with a fix. Big companies screw up too.
