How much is the QH kit? I have the same mower (GM 1072R) and now the iMatch so next Spring I will be wanting to have this ready to go.
Here's a couple links with prices:
NorTrac Quick-Hitch Bushing Set Fits Category 1 Hitches | 3-Point Hitch Adapters| Northern Tool + Equipment
CountyLine® Quick Hitch Bushing Kit, Cat 1 - Tractor Supply Co.
Quick Hitch Adapter Bushing Kit - Category 1 by Speeco for $16.99 in Pins - 3 Point - PTO - Hydraulics - Tractor Parts & Accessories - Agriculture : Rural King
You'll still need the bushing for the top link. IIRC, the top link pins are .75 diameter and you'd need a bushing about 2.25" long. These are available at most Hardware Stores. I think I got mine at Ace Hardware.
The QH bushings kit at Deere includes both upper and lower bushings (and roll pins), but it's pretty costly...over $60.00, I believe.
BTW, as I'd written previously, Frontier mowers are manufactured by contractors. The finish mowers were BEFCO and Woods (mine is a Woods). Since I see some guys are looking for the anti-scalp roller, there will be more then one part number for parts.
My dealer told me most of the 72" RFMs were Woods. It's easy to tell the difference...the Woods built mowers have "Woods" cast into their gearbox and the forward corners of the mower deck are rounded. The BEFCO mowers are squared off at the corners.
I've had both BEFCO and Woods mowers. Both are great quality!
Also, if you have a Woods mower
that doesn't appear to be QH compatible,
it actually may be.
My Woods rotary cutter (bought used) has a section in the manual for reconfiguring the "A" frame for QH compatibility. If you have a Woods implement, do check your manual out before doing any modification.
