What is Everything Attachments thinking?

I was/am interested in the new extreme HD harrows from EA as their video about them is impressive. I sent them an email about the weight of the harrows and they could not provide me with that information as they had not manufactured any of the unit that I inquired about. They do seem to offer value for the money, but I have found you generally get what you pay for. I priced a new set of equivalent harrows from Land Pride and they are more than twice the price! I am a huge Kubota and Land Pride fan as I have found their products to be of exceptional quality. However, for something that I plan to use only sporadically I cannot justify the price. I did find them, EA, to be very pleasant to deal with and I am waiting for the weights to be published on their website. My general rule is never to be the first to buy a new model of anything. I don't like being the original field tester. I bought a rotary mower sight unseen from an internet dealer. It looked good and heavily built. It is not an EA mower. It is heavily built, but the design is terrible and now I am stuck with it. Once burned twice shy as the old saying goes.

EA SHOULD do the right thing by making this easy for the purchaser and just resend another unit to the customer and concentrate on their quality control more plus listen to their customer feedback.
I'd be very disappointed if I received a unit like this unit.

Well if that's the case and it was done in a timely manner what more could they do only apologize and replace the implement. Hard to beat that response The case should be closed

Ah votes had nothing to do with it sir. I was one of the finalists but I'm in Canada and knew they'd NEVER send a kit this far plus the fact as a Canadian I think they'd never want me building a "Made In The USA" kit for a contest. Wonder how close geographically the winner was to EA? I'm betting that was the determining factor so don't feel bad. No sour grapes on anyones part, just fact. :thumbsup:

EA is located in Newton, North Carolina, which is in the northern part of the state. As I recall the winner of the kit is in Virginia, which borders North Carolina to the north. So EA won't have to ship the kit very far and can easily send somebody up to the winner's place to look things over if need be. It took a bit of hunting on EA's web site to find their physical location. I always get a bit concerned if I can't find an online merchant's physical address easily on their web site, especially if I haven't heard of them before.

Anyway, it was nice to be nominated; but I knew I was a long shot at winning, so I didn't get my hopes up of getting a kit for free.

EA's response in another thread has been linked to here. I appreciate Muhammad reopening the thread, presumably in response to member comments, but given that the issue appears to have been resolved, it seems a day late and a dollar short. Also, given this is a holiday weekend, the timing is unfortunate at best.

It does bind a bit as you are getting at. The cat1 lower link pin is 7/8". The implement hole is drilled 0.050" overbore, but the wall thickness of the ear is a hefty 3/8" so it takes a bit of persuasion to get the pin installed. Yes, it can be frustrating when it is cold and windy out. :laughing:

The ears are about 7.5% narrower on that side which is right at the limit of being able to install the pin without enlarging the mounting holes in the implement, whereas the good side slips right in. It does require me to use a stack of washers instead of a 7/8" x 1/2" shaft collar to space the stock 2" bushing on my 3PH to the width of the mount point. It looks rather stupid.

Really....7.5% out. OMG. Return it. You pay the shipping back to them. (Return shipping isn't free) than you can go buy a full price one locally and inspect it before you pay for it. That way it will meet your quality control. Or you can realize its 92.5% correct( probably better than most of us did on our last test) and live with it.

Sometimes one has to realize the person at the other might be a paper pusher whose never even started a tractor let alone install or used an implement. They sometimes say something off the wall. Just roll your eyes and move on. Don't come here and bash them for some unimportant issue. Start a tread when they really screwed up.


I have to go now because I bent my boxblade end plate, the deflection is greater than the allowable 9.32% deviation. I'll just replace it.

That's not how I interpreted was reported. "Ted also let me know that if I felt I had a functional problem with the implement, he'd have it shipped back to EE and he would ship me out a replacement." According to the customer, Ted left it entirely up to him whether he wanted the unit replaced.

And people wonder why I only support local implement companies. They are Aumish, (Wallenstein, Lucknow, MK Martin to name a few.) and they stand behind their products. Buy from a good dealer, and look it over before you pick it up.

This is correct. Ted was going to make good and it was up to the customer if he wanted a new unit.

I agree that opening this thread back up on a weekend when EA is closed was not the best timing. It is kind of like picking a scab that had nearly healed. EA has treated me with way more customer care than is normal in this day of Internet purchasing. I will buy more there for sure. Everyone have a Merry Christmas and please trust that EA is a top rate company and takes care of their customers and remember that they are shut down for the weekend, maybe through Christmas?

As I see it, the ear was bent after the construction. You can see this in the way the paint is chipped in two places: at the 90 degree bend and at the center of the box section. Maybe happened during or after shipping? (After use ? ) Either way, the rod end on the tractor link is designed to accomodate this type of off-axis pin.

You did notice that the side stabilizer link on the draft arm is out of angular travel, right? When that hapens, it puts a bending moment on the attachement lift pin. That by itself would bend and shift the outer pin location. That maybe why the paint chipped off.

If you think this is bad, too bad you can't see the Saturn 5 base motor plate that we went to the moon with first time. Yes, only a use-once-rocket stage, but WTF ????

I realize this is all just armchair quarterbacking, but I can't see how that is true. You can see that the weld at the bottom of the ear is not parallel with the frame. Nothing could make that weld be out of true except that the piece was mis-aligned at the time it was welded.



I have marked up what I see in the above image. The lines indicate the top and bottom of each weld bead, both on the frame side and the ear side, and the top of the ear itself. You can see that the ear-side bead lines up with the top of the ear, and both are out-of-true relative to the frame-side bead.

If you go back to post 1 of this thread, you can see photos that show that the ear itself is not malformed in any way. It is perfectly flat and ninety degrees relative to itself. This, combined with the alignment of the ear-side bead, convinces me that this is a fitup error.
