I'll find out from Ted when we can expect the grapple rakes and let you know what he says. He's out of the office this afternoon but should be back tomorrow. Strong and light is the key when dealing with loader attachments for compact tractors. It think the subject of width will always be heavily debated!

When can we expect to see a root rake style grapple. I have used both and find the root rake style much more useful. I also agree about the 48" make it stronger and smaller. I really see no need for a wide grapple bucket. Simple adds weight which is the whole idea behind these new grapples.

I may be first in line for a root rake if one is made soon. Need a tester in the field. I just have 13 acres of softwoods and an acre of aspen trees cleared for pasture and have a huge mess to clean up. I could really put one to the test.
Ted says he expects to have the prototype grapple rake completed and ready for him to test in a week to 10 days. The final product should be ready in around a week after the testing is performed.

Ted also wanted be to offer the one and only prototype 66" Wicked grapple for sale to a TBN member for the price of $700 plus freight. This is below cost but he is willing to let it go to a member that will provide us with feedback on TBN. It will be shipped to you just like it is shown in the video so check out the video to see the differences in the prototype and the final product. If interested, just PM me and leave a number that I can contact you at. This is first come, first serve.
The senders of PMs will be contacted in the order that they are received by us and the first person that pays will get this prototype grapple.

Once again, here is the video:

For $700 I'd like to have it. It probably too large for me though.

I still see no 48". I love my 48". You should think about that more, methinks... Looks cool otherwise.

Congratulations Crazyangel. You made one heck of a buy there. Having looked at the prototype in person at ETA, I was really impressed with it. Wish I won it, but good luck with it.

I received my EA 66" Wicked Root Grapple last night and used it for several hours today. It did everything I asked of it. I did have to change the hoses. They were too short for my factory installed 3rd function valve solid mounts. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Thanks Tom! I am really excited about the buy. Travis and EA have been a pleasure to do business with. I can't wait to get it painted up and into service. It is going to be a great addition to my L5740. I will be sure to get some pics and observations up on TBN when the snow melts away and it gets some real action! :tractor:
