I didn't buy the stabiliser bar, based on advice from another user of Pat's system, and threads that said you could make one much cheaper. I made one out of PVC pipe and it broke after my first hook up. I made another one and now only use it to hook up, then take it off. As I had to buy the PVC, I spent as much making two jerry rigged stabilizers as the Pat's bar would have cost. As I live in NZ, ordering a bar separately made it uneconomical to correct my mistake, as the shipping cost is 4x the cost of the stabilizer bar. In hindsight, I should have ordered the bar, when it would have been shipped with the PEC system. My tractor arms swing independently (I have a Lamborghini 50HP tractor), so I need a stabiliser bar to hold the arms at the correct distance apart to hook up my implements. I suspect the writers who say they don't need it, don't have the same issue with their tractor arms. Hope this helps.

Hooked up my PTO spayer last weekend, WOW is all I can say. Took me all of 2 minutes to backup attach and hookup the uppler link (even did it from the seat). This was 15 to 20 minute !!!***!!* job before. Why didn't I do this sooner! I recommend to anyone that this be the 1st tractor accessory they buy

I got mine last week! Now I wonder why it took me so long. Installation took 30 minutes. I was able to hook up & remove my snowblower, chipper, & rear blade in 1 hour. Each one used to take 20-30 minutes each esp. the snowblower. Great job Pat!!!

I cannot see the point of the Easy Change system. No offense meant but I have a Kioti CK25 with 3 point arms that are moveable. as well as telescopic. I find many times I must move arms side to side to hook up. It looks like with Easy Change I still may need to dismount tractor to swing the hookup under the proper point of the implement. If so what does the easy change accomplish? If I get the optional stabilizer how does this help as the hookup points are different widths for different implements. I am serious, this is not a flame. If you can explain how this makes things "easier" I would gladly purchase a unit

Safety is my main concern because the kids often help me because of my physical limitations. Backing up and lifting to connect instead of matching holes and pins is a plus.

I like the extra 4" clearance between the equipment and tractor tires.

If you are happy now I would not put them on. I was not happy before. :)

I'd suggest getting the stabilizer bar & putting little marks (with perm. marker or paint) on it for your various implements, maybe blue for bush hog, red for roto tiller, etc. Just set the bar at your "blue" width & it'll be right when you back up to your bush hog.

But, you're right, without Pat's bar (or at least some kind of bar holding the lift arms) & some width indicator for each of your implements, you'll need to get off your tractor to set the width. Of course, from there it's still easier ... Once lined up, just lift your 3PH & they click into place. No need to fiddle with your lift arm extensions, lining up the lift arm holes with your implement's pins, putting the pin keepers in place, etc.

Maybe Pat needs to put an inches scale on his stabilizer bars, then for example I could write a big "2.5" on my bush hog & know I need to set Pat's bar at 2.5 for the lift arms to be at the right width when I back up to my bush hog.

J,
You are fortunate to have adjustable arms. My BX-22 doesn't have that option, so using my 3PH is a wrestling match every time. Not too bad if it only weighs 100-150# buuut I have a chipper that weighs 400# & an SB that weighs 350#. Wresting those puppies into position is a workout that I don't want. ( I kinda like my back like it is.) Being able to lift & self-latch the arms is waaaay better. :D

Is it true that you cannot use the Easy Change with PTO equipment. Pat's does make the 3pt arms longer so I guess the PTO shaft will not reach after installation?

NO. In our case we have a 7' bushhog so they come with a longer PTO shaft. On my Zetor (came with a factory quick hitch feature) I had to get a longer shaft on a 6' cutter.

The new Caroni flail mower my dad bought would've required the PTO shaft to be cut if he didn't have Pat's Easy Change in place. It's still very close, but that extra ~3" allows it to fit. Of course other PTO implements are bound to have different results.
