Pat's Easy Change System had made life easier and more safe for me and the kids. We have the CAT 2 on a 60 HP tractor with some VERY heavy 3PH equipment. The extra 4" between the back tires and equipment really makes hooking up PTO's much easier. Best of luck.

Here's the latest update to "I've Been Had". The category one quick hitch is made for 3pt arms with a maximum heighth of 3 1/4 inches. The arms on the Ex450 are 3.25, but the welded on swivel is just enough bigger, that the cat 1 quick hitch will not work. the hitch will go on, but the holes for the mounting pins will not line up. This is evidently a problem that Pat's has encountered before, because when I called them, he lady immediately dispatched me a set of "Montana" hitches. These are the same width dimension, but have a much larger height dimension. When mounted, they look really sloppy, but seem to work well. The 3pt arms swing in an arc, so if you adjust everything as per the instructions, the hitches do not remain vertical when the arms go up and down. I simply discarded the adjusting bolts so the hooks can free rotate a little, and it seems to handle that problem. I must say that the exchange was handled very well by Pat's, at no cost to me. I was a little hasty in condeming them, but if You're going to order a set, remember to orde through TBN if you want the discount price.

I do but the turnbuckles restrict the arms in tension only. There is nothing to keep the arm from swinging outwards when not attached to an implement. I can see where the SEC adjustable link, in conjunction with adjustment of the sway-turnbuckes would maintain correct distance between the arms to match the implement until the implement is mounted. I normally, however, leave some slack in the sway control so as to not exert undue strain on the 3PT.
I'm looking at buying the SEC and just wanted to clarify the above.

I use a bungee cord to keep my lower arms together and have all implements adjusted to the same width so I don't have to fool with loosening and tightening at all. I did have to buy a longer top link, but kind of wish I had gotten one in between the size that came with it and the size I have now, but everything works as it should and hooking everything up is very easy compared to my brother's or friends' tractors. Worth every penny to me.

Who could tell me if Pats system will work on a Cub Cadet Yanmar SC2400 24HP. Assuming if doable the Cat 1 hitch would be the way to go. Thanks

Go to page 24 and read backwards.

start with 478 and go back in time...far as I have heard, basic design has remained the same for years...it's just some hunks of metal and springs and pins. Not high tech with a new model annually.

I have then on my SC2450 - Work fine. - You will probably need to get a slightly longer top link bar if the top link bar that came with my SC2450 is the same as yours.
