If you read the post I think you got 4 quite serious answers. We can't help it if you didn't like them.

It been about 50 years since I've been on an 8n, but if I remember correctly the 8n has a couple of factory bolt points that you can use for a front bumper/grill guard. Use these point to attach a homemade suitcase weight bracket or built a box and fill it with lead or concrete. 200-300 pounds should work but much more will make steering difficult.

A snowplow's headgear is pretty heavy in itself, plus offers lots of places and ways to hang weights from...That is, if you already have, or have access to the main frame to hold it all up.

You will find that much over 100 lbs and you will have trouble steering the 8N with no PS.

Did you even -bother- to read the original poster's question? He has excess weight on the 3pt from towing logs and thus has a front end pointing at the sky... that's why he wanted front weight.

this kind of thing can be real confusing for the original poster as your comment of adding weight will make it hard to steer doesn't even come close to applying here... :( Please take some time to read the original post before making a comment like this...

Have you thought about using front wheel weights? Rather than suitcase weights or the like? Maybe even adding rim guard to the front wheels would help...

The OP has already stated, in the first message, that he has loaded tires... loaded with what, we don't know.. however.. even with plain water, given the limited volume of the tires.. reloading with rimguard won't buy him much weight gain.

So what does he do when the logs ain't back there??:D

He needs a loader bucket that can be filled with disposable weight in his situation!:D

But then again he's not supposed to be towing from the three point is he.

Wasn't there a thread about an accident a little while ago when a fellow towed from the three point?
