What? No comments on how nasty the welds look or nuthin?

Come on tell me what you think. I am a big boy I can take it....

I think the design will work with the plow pictured, also with the disks and the box blade I have. I'll put it through the ringer this weekend and let you guys know if I can break it.

Ok now show us the one you made /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
You cant fool us smart folk. We can see right though your plan, showing us pictures of someone elses you found on the net. Seriously its not good practice trying to pass other peoples work for your own, you may even have fooled someone, but i know what your up to. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Are you sure that you didn't send that to me and I welded it? It sure looks like my welding!! I do need to make the same thing, give me some details on the Cat 0 end of your hitch. I have a plow like that and would like to use it. Thanks, honestly, I don't weld good enough to comment on someone else's work- if it holds, who cares.

It's amazing the different designs for doing the same thing. I'm sure it will work fine. A friend I met on TBN showed me his design and I seen another on TBN I combined the two. I've only made two furrows with it and well pleased. What part of MD you in. I live just across the river of western MD.

Well it ain't pretty /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif but if it's functional, who cares. Besides paint hides a lot of stuff /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I think you will do just fine and it sure is a lot cheaper than going out and buying all new stuff. I know I didn't want to spend a lot as I only plow once or twice a year. Now if I could just get a cheap tiller for the back then I could give up the walk behind /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have to rebuild the Carb on my walk behind. Will probably get away with just cleaning it real good a couple more times but it really needs to be replaced.

I couldn't give my little 5 horse tiller up completely even if I did get one to go on the tractor. I use it to till in tight place a lot, that a big one just wouldn't fit.

I basically started off with a manual sleeve hitch that was mounted on the MTD gaden tractor. I cut the arm off the side that the MTD used to raise and lower the hitch and mounted it on top, welded that and a bunch of braces on it and that was pretty much all I did. Oh and then (after I was done of course) I found a brand new top link bar off of a john deere in my garage, that the previous owner had left up in the rafters.

I will take some close up pictures and send you the link If you would like me to

Strong welds arn't always pretty until you use the grinder. There isn't anything I welded together that my life depended on thats come apart.

Looks good to me, should work fine. You should see some of my welding before grinding /weld more/grind more/painting /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
As long as it gets good penetration and does not fall apart.
For me vertical welding with a buzz box is difficult at best /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Gonna get me some big honkin diodes to make my buzz box DC.

You say you need a tiller? With that set up you could put a gang bar across your unit, get two to four garden tillers side by side, mount them with an easy hitch system fire them up and move out. what we do with tractors reminds me of the red-green show.

Now that you have the plow mounted, we want to see pics of freshly turned soil, complete with the smell of fresh earth if you can accomplish that. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ok I will take some pics of the freshly plowed Garden spotS

tonight if I get home before it is too dark, if not you might have to wait awhile as we are expecting some significant snow. But I know how that goes..... I got the Kubota this year and am ready to plow so there won't be anymore snow. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
