Yet no one on this board puts him in his place. He is on my ignor list, but i still read a post or two like this about 4 times a day. Its sad.

I was warned to let him be, so I just scroll past the nonsense. JC

I think LB is just trying to point out that a SCUT whether it's a Kubota BX or JD 2305 is comfortable even when using it all day long.

1* Rite.
Some guys get confused between S- cut VS Garden tractor and mistakenly take it as an attack against JD in favor of Kubota then get all bent out of shape over it.

Thats the issue... The guy has zero understanding of what he is doing. It seems his main goal is to compare himself and his ways to everyone else and make it out like he is better. He also drags up 2 to 5 year old posts all the time.

Confront him abouot this nonsense and he goes nuts. The admins of this site should start to see that trolling in other brand forums is not liked. It happens in here by him daily.

I tend to disagree with the post that all SCUT and GT are comfortable. Some have sring seats, some do not. I think either can be comfy with the right seat. IMHO the 2305 is not as comfy as the x700.....

Thanks again for all the advice and input.
I am going to go with the JD 2305 and 62" MMM. I have been at a few dealers, and have found a good local dealer and am trying to finalize things with them. I will probably add a 4ft rotary mower, although the dealer price is around $1700, so I am not sure if i will go with the frontier 2048 or maybe look at a KingKutter 4ft. This is my first real tractor and first 3 pt hitch, and I feel a little better about having the dealer help set up the PTO. I may add a box blade later.
Maybe someone can explain why either a 4 ft rotary mower or the 62" MMM costs more than a basic JD lawn tractor?

Congrats on the new tractor. I think you made the right choice. As far as the cost of the MMM on your 2305, take a look at the amount of steel used in the deck, the size and heft of the spindles, the size of the bearings, etc. Your deck probably weighs 250 lbs, I have picked up decks taken off from smaller tracotrs and loaded them into a pick up myself. I sure can't do that with the one off from my BX 2200!

Dont' you hate going on JD forums and the same Kubota guys troll the forums on a regular basis and push a Kubota on you every where you go. Sure they have good products, but if someone wanted one, they would go on the Kubota forum. We go on the JD forums, because we want JD. :p

Thanks for saying what I have been thinking. I own a X595 and know first hand how great a tractor it is. You can read all the specs you want and do all the comparisons on paper you want, but there is a reason why the John Deere might cost more and it's not just the cost of the green paint. I'm not putting down other brands becaused they serve there purpose. Once you own a John Deere and start doing some regular maintenance and see first hand the engineering that went into building it, the more you appreciate John Deere. I do look in the other brand forums but I don't post comments saying why would you pay more money for a certain brand when you can get the same thing from another brand for less money. THERE IS A REASON. With that being said, I come to this forum to see what other John Deere owners are saying or what non owners are asking. I don't see many or any John Deere owners posting and making comments about another brand on other forums but maybe it's because there are those that own a John Deere and these wishing they owned a John Deere.
