i have a mecron and two other friends also have them we have had no problems of any kind on ours. The cvt is the same type as almost every other one out there . I suspect the problem is that the 2 halves of the clutch sheaves are binding on the engine shaft and not allowing them to seperate easily. This happens on car clutches as well. Rust buildup is usually the reason. Any moly type grease would do the trick. .
