Welcome to TBN..
0n Tractordata site it shows you have the choice to use R1 (Ag) or R4 (Industrial). However, You will also need to change the wheels as well.

R1 (AG), R4 (Industrial), R-14T (combination) and others are available but you will need to change all 4 rims as well as tires.

Easiest way is to buy complete set of wheels/tires from Kubota dealer, install and sell your take-offs.

As George 2615 and SDT indicate - going from grass( R4) to agri( R1) will also require new Ag rims along with the new tires. I agree - your Kubota dealer would be your best choice. Especially if the L5740 is 4WD.

This is going to be very expensive. Sounds like what you really need is R1 (AG tires.) I think it is worthwhile to advertise and hunt around for another similar size Kubota owner who wants to go the other direction -- changing from AG tires to turf tires. That is going to save a LOT of money if you can find the right person. Even if any of the tires are wornout and need replacement this 'trade' would save you and the other person a lot of expense.

Also, here in the states there are several 'salvage yards' that dismantle tractors and store the parts from them for resale. If you have that in Scotland you should try them too. Might have a set of wheels and tires to swap -- would still cost some $ but much less than buying new tires and rims.

Scotland is a wet part of the UK.

Tall R1/agricultural tires will give your tractor the best traction running over moist / wet soil. R1 tires are almost always 4-ply. The flexibility of 4-ply construction improves traction. R1 tires are the least desirable tire to run over the road. R1 tires vibrate and wear rapidly on the road. R1 tires are almost always the choice for 2-WD tractors. R1 tires are usually the cheapest tractor tire choice.

R14 tires are a new design in the last five years. The tread pattern falls mid-way between R1 and R4 treads.

R4/industrial tires. Usually 6-ply rear tires, 6 to 10 ply front tires to support heavy FEL loads. Best tractor tires for highway travel.
Poor tire selection when traction is needed pulling over mud or wet soil. I live in a part of Florida where mud is never a factor. Most tractors in Florida are equipped with R4 / industrial tires.
R4 tires are more expensive than R1 tires.

Forgot to mention that there are wide tires that fit the turf tire rims yet have mild/shallow tread bars. They give a lot better traction than turf tires but not as good as R1 AG tires. If you cannot find a willing "swap tires & rims" partner and don not want to speed the money for rims AND tires these milder bar-tread tires might serve your purposes. There is not a widely accepted name for these tires but "bar tread" is the most common. They are NOT the newer R14 that Jeff mentioned.) The key thing for you is that they offer more aggressive traction than turf tires without causing you to change rims. Another question is whether these bar tread tries are available in the right size for your tractor. If you do a Google search on bar tread tires you can see some of the variations.
The ones I see tend to be for lawn tractor sizes rather than "big" tractors. Suggest find the largest tire shop in your area and ask them to look up what is available.

p.s.: I have used these bar tread tires on small BX2200 size Kubotas but that is MUCH smaller than your L5740.
