I move a lot of wood chips with my CK20HST, and prefer to leave the KB2365 BH off to save ground damage. It also make close maneuvering easier, and reduces concerns about backing the hoe into things like the house. It's just about possible to drive safely with a full load of wet chips, but lifting them out of a pile is dicey.
I'm too cheap for a ballast box, so tried this quick fix. I figure the pine log weighs about 200 lbs wet, and it seems to work fine. (Might use a bigger piece of oak next time for more weight.) Clearance cuts are to ensure that it can never hit the capped rear hydraulics. Spikes were left by a mason.
This does leave the rear wheels a bit light, so I'm hoping there's enough ballast to let me plow snow with the BH off.
