YUP. I had an excellent experience with the dealer. Sorry for my sceptics but I am a mechanic for a livin. my first visit to a dealer has impressed me, as well as Kioti tech support in Wendell, NC. Thanks to all involved.

Just an update from me. Kioti took care of this. Could not complain of anything about the process. Thanks to Dave from the GO KIOTI team. Small paperwork issue in the beginning but Kioti worked it out. Dealer said it runs fine and I can pick it up next week. I cannot get back over there till then due to my schedule.

Just curious, did they address any potential engine damage from the engine over revving ?

Well they went on what I said happened I guess. It did not run excessively high because I had just been reading about a runaway and knew what to do. I guess there could be some damage but I suspect not. They did not address it but if there are any issues after a few hours, then I think Kioti will work with me. I have heard horror stories about warranty, but this was not my experience. A few hours in the seat will tell..........

Got a few hour on it now and once again thanks to all involved, including Kioti as well as their tech support people. Running just fine but I did notice one thing and I do not even know if it is an issue or just a difference. Before the rack replacement it statred at 800 to 900 rpms and I would bump it up to 1000 for warmup and then after it was warm it would idle at 1000 to 1050. Now it starts at 1200 and after warm it idles at 1250 to 1300 rpms. I have not found a spec for this and was wondering if anyone could specify. Thought I would ask because the new rack may have different specs???

I haven't noticed a difference since they changed my rack. It idles at start up at about 1050 or so and stays there, hot or cold. but, then I usually bump it up to about 1200 while warming up.

Someone here mentioned getting the pump rebuilt instead buying a new one if out of warranty. So I guess the parts are available but don't know where to get them. Kioti seems to just sell the pump as a unit.

This pump used by Kioti is a Bosch Type Pump it is not Bosch. Our diesel shop in town has rebuilt several of the pumps and gets the actual parts from Bosch and changes out all the rack gears. My guess is that this pump is an exact copy of a Bosch injector pump. I have never had one fail after a rebuild and they COST ABOUT 1/2 PRICE OF A NEW PUMP. Saving money is a good thing, as long as the part performs as well or better than new.
If you are out of warranty and have to foot the bill yourself do not be afraid to get it repaired or call us. we normally have a couple in stock.
