L39 or 3430hst w/723 and BH90?

I just sold my 3430hst with 723 and was going to get another one with a BH90. The new L3430hst with 723 loader and quik-tach heavy duty bucket plus BH90 is $26500.
While I was deciding to buy this I saw a 2006 L39 with 130hrs for $27500 should I get the L39 for a $1000 more?
How different is the hst from the gst?
I have 10 acres of wooded property that I brush hog and run a 6" pto chipper any various chores. I would love to have the stronger hoe for stumps but I'm just not sure about the GST trans. HELP

I know there are guys with this unit that will chime in shortly. I just have to make my observation...it is a TLB tractor designed to do FEL/BH work I would think the GST tranny would work just fine. If you look at the specs of both units the L39 wins in the who has the most of everything.
The FEL is not removable on the L39 is the only drawback if that concerns you.

$27,500 is a good price. I have an L39 with Grapple and BH Mech thumb.

The L-39 is very, very versatile, but like any multi-tool, there are better tools for specific tasks.

I think the biggest disadvantage to the L39 is the FEL is not detachable.

GST is ok. Could be a quicker shifting and have a bit wider ratios. Loader could be stronger, but if your happy with a 723, the TL-1000 should be fine.

The GST is a great transmission, just not a simple to understand as the HST. Don't let that difference bother you, it's easy to get used to and in some ways is more desireable than the HST with less power loss. If it has the creaper gears it is real nice.

I'd buy the L39 for $1000 more.

The L-39 at that price with that many hours is a steal.....the GST is great to operate, you'll like it even more than the HST after you use it.

Checkout to make sure the undercarriage clearance is enough for you, the L-39 sits allot lower than you 3430.

Other than that, it is an awesome pocket TLB with a great FEL and a killer BH!

Also note that the FOPS (Falling Object Protection System) on the L39 is a great thing in the woods when one of those unseen dead limbs makes a bee line for your head.

Check out the Trench I cleared through ledge that had been cracked by frost cycles over the years. If you think you could get through this with less of a BH, I'd like to see you try!

Nice work Mike. I'll have to take some pics of my rock garden that I've been building out of all the hundreds of huge boulders I've removed so that my Bush-Hog can mow merrily along without bashing rocks everywhere!!!

I have removed some stumps and rootballs that weigh way more than the entire L-39 does and the hoe just refuses to say NO!!! :d

Most of the new prices I have seen run from 332k-35k depending on location and options.
