What is the most anyone has ever lifted in a FEL on a BX2200 with proper rear ballast? When I say 'lifted', I mean a good 3 feet off the ground.

I lifted some big rocks before. But I've loaded 12-13 bags of pellets on mine. So around 400 or so pounds.

The 211 loader will handle around 400 pounds anyway so I was ok. The front end starts to looked stressed at that load anyway so I wouldn't go beyond that much.

400 to 500 lbs depending where the load is centered. At max height, this load will be squirrelly as the loader will be flexing and the tires will be flexing on a narrow base (about 44"). I've had my bucket on my 2200 heaping w/ wet dirt and I could barely 'curl' it, but that's a pretty heavy load. I dumped such a load in a big contractor wheelbarrow a big ol boy was holding and he couldn't begin to handle it. Waist high, this heavy a load is e z to handle.

Unloaded and loaded a full size snow plow (6.5 feet) from the bed of my pickup. Blade spec indicates 500 pounds for weight.
One end was in the bucket and the other end was bound to the bucket tow hook by chain. Having that much weight that far out in front of the tractor was challenging. Even with counterweight, rear tire traction was an issue.

I don't have a direct answer for you but, if the search function works right today, there have been a couple of old posts that did tests with sack crete bags in the bucket ... seems like the result was over 500#.

Attached is a pic of my '23 ready to pickup a pallet using bucket forks. That's 6 80# bags of sack crete ... obviously piled strategically. I could lift it about 1 foot ... which was all I needed :)

On my 2230 (pretty much the same) I lifted and carried 500# of salt (10 50# bags) from my truck to my basement steps without any problem at all. Unloaded about 3 feet off the ground, raised on level ground to about 5 feet just to see if I could (and I could without any problem) and transported about 1.5 feet off the ground.

Quite impressive.

Have trouble with 400+ lb tree stumps, though. Too far out in front? Dunno. I know the bucket meets its ratings, though.

That would be 480 -520 pounds at 40 Lbs bags. Mine handled 10 quite easily so 12 or 13 sounds pretty doable. I've bogged it down before in loam but I don't have any way of knowing how much weight that actually was.

A couple of years ago I tested my loader with 50# bags of sand. My BX2200 will lift 10 sacks but not 11. So... the max for my loader is somewhere between 500 and 550. I suspect that it is closer to 500 pounds.

My BX22 will handle a lot of weight, to the point that the front tires look like they will blow out. When I first purchased the tractor, I pushed it to the limit to see exactly what it could do. Now, I try to take it easy on the old gal, since I need to keep her around for a few more years. Pushing it to the limit on a regular basis will take life out of it. Just like your own body, take care of it, and it will last longer. Dusty
