Finally had some time and warm weather to break the tractor in half. Only took about 2 and a half hours. Below is some pictures including the pressure plate finger failure. The guy who owned the tractor before me said he had replaced the clutch. The pressure plate has a date of 2002. The disk still has some meat left but I will replace it while I'm in there. It doesn't look like the throwout bearing was ever replaced so I will do that too once I figure out how to get it off.

Thanks for the web link. Seems like they only have certain parts. I found a few parts that are a bit worn that are not listed. What scares me is that the finger broke and not a worn disk. My disk is still over 3/8 of an inch and a new one is $65. I guess I'll replace all that they list for $185, hopefully it doesn't break again.

sounds like you had a rough day

That's unfortunate but it looks like you are well on the road to recovery. Thanks for the pics, not many of us have had to go through what you are. Got any wider angle views showing both halves of the tractor apart?

I can try, it's a small garage so not sure how far I can get back. After I posted them I was thinking some were too detailed. These ones were more for knowing how things will go back together. Here's a question for someone who's done this on one of these little tractors, where'd you get the tool to line up the clutch disk? Will an auto parts place have one to fit? Thx.

I've always eyeballed the clutch disc alignment and been ok. As long as it's straight enough to assemble, the first time you release it, it will self-center.

Tractorsmart has allot of parts that are not shown on their webpage.....But you need to enter the actual part number using the part number search option.....for the pn's you will need a kubota parts book. You can download one here:
Index of Kubotabooks/
Does have a manual listed for a B6100DT.
The parts book is also an excellent resource for exploded views.

I purchased a ton of parts from Tractorsmart to rebuild my 1980's L275. Their service was top notch!
