Hi Everyone,

I'm Bob Smith from Kellsport Products, the Eureka Fluid Film distributor. Someone emailed me this link, so I figured I'd respond. I also emailed the webmaster about advertising here, as I think this is a great site. If I can answer any questions, or provide information on any Eureka Fluid Film product, please let me know. We ship to dealers throughout the country, so you should be able to find Eureka Fluid Film at a dealer near you. Fluid Film gallons, pails, and drums are a bit more difficult to find, but we do have many fine bulk stocking dealers throughout the country.

For those unfamiliar or unsure what Fluid Film is all about, here is a brief explanation of what sets Fluid Film apart from all the competition.

Fluid Film contains no solvents. That statement alone means a number of things:

1) No evaporation. No evaporation means more useable product, which in turn means more bang for your buck. Most competitive products contain as much as 70% solvent, meaning most of what you spray evaporates and contaminates the atmosphere.

2) Non-tacky application. With solvent-based materials, the end product ends up being a gummy, sticky mess. Fluid Film will NEVER get tacky, retaining a super-slick consistency that provides excellent lubrication for moving parts on all metals.

3) Eco-Friendly. No solvents means no ozone depleting chemicals contaminating the atmosphere. It is classified as non-toxic and non-hazardous and is safe to be used inside the home, as well as out in the field.

Fluid Film is manufactured using an all-natural lanolin base. Lanolin is of animal origins, extracted from the wool of sheep, which use it as a waterproofing wax to aid in shedding water from their coats. It has been used for centuries for its medicinal and rust-preventive properties.

The unique molecular structure of Fluid Film creates a non-drying coating that can last at least a year indoors protecting equipment from rust or corrosion, or a full season outside in the elements. Fluid Film is safe to use on all metals, will not freeze, and will not readily wash off a surface.

Well, I don't want to overstay my welcome...:) (until we become a paid advertiser) but I want to thank you for using Eureka Fluid Film products and would welcome the opportunity to answer any questions about the product. Maybe I can get a Fluid Film forum setup on this site along with our advertising program.

I have been using Fluid Film for a under mower treatment since I have had my mower and it still looks as good as new. If you read the can I believed It says it was manufactured for the navy ships to not corrode in sea applications. This stuff is worth the $ and time to apply! Protect your investment. Fluid film is #1 in my book!;):D

Another vote for Fluid Film. Amazing stuff.

I learned about it on this board a few years ago.

sounds like great stuff. just curious what applications have been applied or areas treated on a tractor. just a tractor, loader and rear blade.

I love this stuff and my local Kubota dealer let me know about it years ago. I use it on stuff I want to prevent from rusting like trailer hitches and antique tools.

One thing you maybe could advise on, I've had the spray can tip clog really bad a few times and even putting a new spray "head" won't solve the problem. It's happened probably with 3 cans over the last couple of years, almost like it'd gummed up in the throat of the nozzle.

Am I doing something wrong?

Another vote for Fluid Film.

I use the spray cans for lube/rust inhibitor on small areas, and I "paint" it on snowthrower, mower deck, etc. from the gallon can. Lasts all season.

WD40 spray cans are collecting dust (only use WD40 for solvent/degreaser now).

I would like to find a local distributor, I have been mail-ordering it.

Hey Jimmy,
Fluid Film products have an indefinite shelf life...except the aerosols. Because of the "tip heads", and the propellent, the aerosols have a 1 year shelf life. It's possible that the Canadian distributor or the retailer had them around too long. I'd recommend that if it happens again, just return it to the retailer for replacement, If you were in the States I'd send you a few cans to make good on it, but we can't send aerosols across border. Next time you come south let me know, I'll have them waiting for you at the closest UPS terminal.

Bob:
My John Deere dealer is:
Northern Concrete Block, Inc.
32 Silk Road
Fulton, NY 13069
315-598-2141
Thre's also a TSC in Oswego and Fulton.

Only about 50% of the JD Dealers actually carry the line. TSC would be good, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. The line has been presented to them several times. Tommorow I'll be on a mission to open a dealer in the Fulton, NY area. I did not realize that we did not have an active dealer there. Maybe I'll give the local Napa store the first shot. Thanks for the info.
