Kubota 7610
When I bought the 7610 last month I neg. in rear hydraulics....listened to everyone and didn't want to pay for it as an add on and the dump wagon which was going to be a manual lift with my 755 I traded will now be a hydraulic lift. Well it finally came in the dealer picked up the tractor yesterday and was back this morning.

Thought I'd show the set up as it's supposed to be a Kubota kit for the 7610. Not sure if I like the mount of the valve yet but here are a couple of pics.....

Nice looking setup.

The front picture makes the bracket look like it is sticking out way to far. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

But the rear picture shows that the bracket is within the FEL mounting. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

What dealer did you get the valve from?

The dealer is Carlton Farm Supply in Monroe County. Very good dealer, easy going, take care of the customer kind of people.

It is within the FEL mounts but like I507 said I am worried about trees. We'll see how it goes.

Kevin - I've been dealing with Carleton for about 5 years now. Nothing but good to say about them. Started buying parts for my old IH Cubs. Bought a BX22 from them a couple years ago and set my parents up with a L3830. Great people!! Chuck

That is the setup that is offered directly by Kubota for the B-series.

It is, however, overpriced in my opinion. You can get the Kubota pricing from Tractorsmart.com. I put a 3-spool Prince on my B2710 for about what you paid for the single spool and it mounts on the fender making it much easier to use.

I didn't directly pay for it. When I negotiated the tractor we got to a price that I felt confortable with and then said "Oh yeah...I want rear remotes and valve and you have to throw it in to finish the deal", so it came out of his margin and his cost.

I would prefer a 2 or 3 spool setup but this gives me a starting point and can always upgrade the valve when and if the need arises. Here is a question for you though that I'm not sure of. Is your valve an open or closed center?

I looked at it again this morn and I'm still not sure about it hanging out there where it is but use will tell.

Regards,
Kevin

Kubota and most other manufacturers use open center hydraulics. The Kubota add-on stackable spools (you can have up to 3) are really expensive. My 3-spool Prince SV ran only about $225 without fittings and hoses. Additional spools for the Kubota kit will cost you about $250 each.

You can see my setup here .

khd -

Hmmm - when I asked about the rear hydraulics - the dealer didn't even mention the "Kubota Kit" (maybe even HE thought it overpriced too? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

So he placed the hydraulic valve on the fender - the hoses & quick disconnects come out just below the round signal lamp - top of the right, rear fender - just behind the drivers' seat.

Pictures on my website here.

I think he charged me @ $400 for the set-up (materials only) - labor would have been extra if I'd added it later. I won't be able to add any additional valves in that location - but one should do. If I ever need additional controls - I'd add a valve block / bank after the existing control valve - and rig a cable / hook to keep the existing lever permanently actuated to get oil flowing to the extra controls (ex. *cycling* valve for logsplitter)

My only gripe - the lever effectively prevents my getting on / off the tractor on the right side. While I know this is NOT supposed to be done (risk of accidental movement due to stepping on HST pedal(s)) - it's a *just* a bit of a pain. I'm thinking of *shortening* the actuator lever - or perhaps I can make it "foldable" - so it stows out of the way....

But - I don't have to worry about trees - you win some / lose some!

Cheers,

Dan
