2003 Kubota BX-22
I decided that Kubota engineers didn't have a clue as to what they were doing in the design of the rear remotes for the BX 22/23 tractors, so I decided that it was time to redesign the system as sold by Kubota. The Kubota kit # "BX7323 Hose Kit for all BX series Tractors with Front Loaders Using the BX7322 Remote Valve Kit" isn't worth the money that it costs because it just doesn't work well. The instructions are poor to say the least and it isn't well thought out for the BX 22/23 tractors. The hoses were too close to the fan when it is installed according to their directions, and without drilling some holes in the floor pan to secure the hoses to the under side of the floor pan with nylon ties, it will be chewed up by the hydro cooling fan blade. The hoses might even destroy the fan blades. For this reason, I had one of the 2 100 inch hoses cut in half and new ends put on. The hose takes a #6 JIC female angle fitting on one end and a male pipe thread fitting at the other. The return hose is also too short (38"), so the other hose was also cut and a new return hose was made out of it that is 45" long. With the original return hose, the valve has to be mounted low on the ROPS and is very close to your leg when using the backhoe. Too close for comfort. The longer hose allowed for placing the valve up high, next to the hinge on the ROPS. Picture 1

This next picture show how the lines look at the back of the tractor. I unplugged the line that went into the female quick disconnect that is permanently mounted in the rear of the BX22/23 and plugged in the male hose from the valve. The other hose from the valve has a female quick disconnect on the end that the backhoe line plugs into. This puts the valve into the hydraulic system that feeds the backhoe. The return line from the valve goes back into the transmission on the right hand side by way of a JIC adapter that screws into the side of the hydro case after your remove the steel plug bolt.

this picture shows the hose from the valve going into the female disconnect that the backhoe line was plugged into. I added a 90 degree street ell to the hose so there wouldn't be a sharp 180 degree bend in the hose when it is installed into the quick disconnect.

this picture shows the hoses in the area between the rear of the tractor and the fuel tank. It is looking down from the top just behind the seat. You can see how the hoses are tied to the ROPS and then are routed under the tank and looped back to the rear.
If you would like additional pictures, please let me know. If I were to do it over again, I would just buy aftermarket parts and make everything up myself after what I have learned. This probably would have saved me a lot of money had I known beforehand what I now know. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Very clean instillation… Everything is tucked neatly out of the way. Is there a way you can use your remote with your backhoe? Like with a thumb?

Have you used it yet?
VERRY nice.... KennyV

What is the purpose of the third line? A pressure relief valve? I have been thinking of doing this to my BX22.

If you decide to go for the rear remotes, I would be glad to help you with additional pictures and dimensions.
