I finally got the digital camera out today. Here are the long awaited pics of the Woods BH6000 on my BX1500. As I have stated before, performance is great. The only thing I am a little concerned with is transporting the BH on hilly or sloped grades. To compensate, I just load the bucket up. I wanted to add suit case weights to the front, but I was told by my dealer the Kubota BX suit case weight front bracket is not compatible with the BX1500, thus I can't have the suit case weights on while the LA181 FEL is installed. This is not the case with the BX18xx, BX22xx, or BX2x. Anyone have anything to sya about that? Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Thanks for posting these, bmw! I'll be curious to hear how it continues to perform for you. Keep us posted, wouldja?

Nice job. How is the headroom with the ROPS? I note that Kubota puts on a taller ROPS with the backhoe models like BX-22, 23

I am 5'11" and have no problem with head room and the ROPS. Plenty of leg room as well. Excellent visibility. The Woods engineers did a great job designing this BH and fitting it to a BX.

BMW,

Great Pics! THanks for posting. I am sure this will give hope to other BX1500 owners who thought that the possibility of a backhoe on their machines was a best a dream that would never come true! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

For extra weight on the front, you may want to consider having your front tires foam filled. It adds a fair amount of weight. I had the fronts on my BX2200 foam filled, and I carried one in each hand when I dropped them off. Coming back out, it was one at a time... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Great looking tractor, by the way!

Looks good! It does look a little bigger on that 1500 than it does on the BX2230, Case DX24E, NH TZ24DA, & JD 2210. I got ahold of an installation manual, and it looks like the Woods engineers spent a lot of time really working things out, and setting everything up to fit each of the different machines very nicely. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Are you sure that's not the new L39? Actually that looks very nice, wish I could justify (and afford) to add a backhoe, but I would probably get tired of just digging holes to dig holes as I don't have any projects to justify /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I see you don't take no for an answer. I'm sure you were told it wouldn't work at least a few times. I'm sure other BX1500 owners will be glad to see someone took the initiative to make it work.

Did you have any special changes to make it work? Anything you had to fab specifically?

Thanks for taking the time and posting pics also.

Surfran,

It is stock right from Woods. No modification was done on the BX1500. However, as I mentioned earlier, it is a little back heavy and I have loaded the front tires to help. I may take Henro's advice and foam fill them or mod out suitcase weights.

Thanks, blackmajicwoman. You just made my new bx1500 even more valuable. I've always had it in the back of my mind that if I ever wanted a backhoe (and what man doesn't), I would have to trade up to a bigger machine. Now I know the option is there for my bx1500. Of course, that knowledge is going to drive me crazy until I can rationalize the purchase of the Woods.

Let's see, I could really use some holes over there. And a ditch would be nice there. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
