While talking to my dealer the other day he made a recommendation that may be of use to others. He had a customer that broke the bolts out of the upper 3PH lift arm housing. A very expensive part to replace. This happen while backing up and hitting a piece of concrete. The bolts holding the bracket on broke the housing. He was like many of us that have heavy duty back blades and box scrapers on our tractors. If you hit some thing hard enough something will break.
To help avoid this on a 27-2910 a heavy duty bracket can be installed. It's the same bracket that is installed when putting on a 4690 Backhoe.
I have attached a picture showing both old and new brackets. One on the right is original.
Ron,
What was the cost of the new bracket, and do you have a part #? It looks much like the one that was on my B8200, and It would take a beating when slaming my heavy backblade into snow banks. I think it might be wise for me to change to the heavy duty one! Thanks for the heads up!
The mechanic mentioned that when he was out to do service on Lucy (B7500). Said it was a "majorly expensive repair if you break that bracket out of the housing". I wonder if that new bracket would fit on Lucy?
Ron, Do you have a part #? I think I will try to order one on line. The local dealer here charges 15% over list on everything! Then has the nerve to complain on how bad sales are! I try not to buy anything from them. They are a great help if you are selling used though, their prices are so high that people think your used one is a steal! Thats how I got 12K for my B8200HST, the guy that bought it got sticker shock from the dealer, was quoted 25K for a B2910 set up like my B8200.

Ron,
Thanks for the #'s. It sounds like a "pay me now, or pay me later" kind of thing! They should make them all heavy duty, and stop gouging us at every turn.
I've got an extra one of these brackets. $50 including US shipping for the first person who sends me mail at hayden@movelogic.com. No bolt included. It fits 2400, 2100, 2410, 2710, 2910, and maybe others.
