What BX 2200 Modifications Have You Done Because of TBN??

I was at a new Kubota dealer today and I was telling them about TBN and all the great ideas I have gotten from everyone here. Got me thinking about what I have added/improved as a result TBN. This is what I did so far.

By the way if you are in North West NJ or PA check out S & L Equipment 492 County Route 519 Belvidere, NJ 07823 Phone: (908) 475-8111. They are great folks, gave me a tour of the facility, talked tractors for a bit and was introduced to several people and ever let me sit on a new BX 24. I went in looking for a few pins and was treated like I was a customer for many years. They have been a Kubota dealer for about a year now, they have sold New Holland construction equipment for many years. It is worth a visit if you are in the area, they are off RT 46.

I've garnered all kinds great intel here at TBN.
Once I started shopping for my 1st brand new tractor, I found TBN and used the info from the BTDT's to know what to look for and what to negotiate for in the presales mode.
How to match my needs and want's to the right sized tractor.
To look for good and fair pricing.
To look for good dealer relations.
What options and add-ons to look for in the price I want to pay.

Once I made the purchase I found many great idea's on mod's for my brand new BX23.
FEL chain hooks.
Mower axle wheel stands.
What to fill the rears with.
Grass/leaf collection system.

Many other mods I've made, I found out after posting about them that others have done it very similarly. As well as finding out that others took a different route to do the same thing.
BH dollie.
FEL dollie.
ROPS lights.
Seat mounted toolbox.

I've also garnered servicing ideas's and fixes that I know I'll eventually be faceing once I hit the magic hour(s).
Good pricing on maintenance parts/supplies.
Scheduled maintenance tips.
Probable R&R of the power steering hoses.
Probable R&R of the fuel sender gasket.
Probable R&R of the air cleaner bracket.
Servicing of the prbable sticking threadle pedal.
etc.

And finally, I've found TBN to be a very valuable resource for more than just tractor stuff too.
HVAC.
Auto.
Welding.
Electrical.
Plumbing.
General construction.
General handyman stuff.
Entertainment

Hows that for a testimonial /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Looks like I've took it past the original intent, oh well /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

TBN is what basically gave me all of my education on tractors. Last year I started out with the intent of trying to figure out what type of equipment I needed to get all the work done around my house. I knew I needed a loader of some form and I knew I was going to need a backhoe or excavator. I spent a lot of time looking and trying to figure out my options until one day looking thru Ebay at used equipment I saw an auction for a BX22. The auction turned out to be one of the many bogus auctions that are up there for tractors but it led me into a Google search for info on what a BX22 was - which led me right to Tractorbynet within the first few search results.

I ended up asking all sorts of questions and getting myself educated which led to me purchasing a BX23 - which I got with the 12" bucket, ag tires, a toothbar on the FEL, higher amp alternator, and loaded tires - all because of what I learned on TBN. I have spent time on "other" tractor sites and learned some there too - but TBN is where I keep coming back to.

The biggest problem I find with continued perusing here is that I keep thinking I want a bigger tractor. Which I know I really don't NEED - I just want one.

A few modifications but really the knowledge of oils, fuel, how to run the tractor the right way and last night getting the tractor unstuck from the ditch by curing the loader for more lift.

All stuff read here. Many thanks to anyone who writes here.

I have dollies for all my implements and a toothbar on the FEL. I think one of the coolest mods on a BX is Junkman's FEL grapple: BX Rock Moving 101 . He also did extensive mods to his rear remotes, but that is on a BX22.

Hope you don't mind if I widen this to all BXs. I don't remember the details exactly, but it seems like somebody put a thumb or claw to oppose the bucket on a BX23 bh.

Not really a mod, but the $5 square bucket at Lowes that fits exactly between BX wheels.

I was sooooo prepared at 50 hrs after lurking here, I planned a whole day and was done in about an hour.
